Probably an accurate prediction. The days of CoD dominance are over in November. PS4 has a bigger install base in the US and even if X1 sells more copies, it won't be the 2 million difference of past years. There's a 50k difference in NA with Ghosts and PS4 will trounce it world wide regardless.

The gap will continue to grow every month. The sports fan is already on board with PS4 with the Madden news tonight. The shooter crowd will likely take time to move over but Destiny will help move that along. The MCC is a great value and service to fans but it won't change the game. The last castle that is CoD will fall in time.

considering that noone has confirmed the rez for it on xb1 yet does have me worried that it wont be 1080p cause if it was im sure we would of heard about it either by activision or MS by now

1+ million will be hit by October 1st (proof will be September NPD release).

I don't think another 500k from October 1st to Dec 31st is outrageous. In fact it might be under-betting it a bit, but I still think Microsoft will get more aggressive with sales. I expect a lot of unofficial $349 and even lower specials with games/XBLG/etc thrown in.

the momentum of the ps4 is incredible right now,sony is gonna find a way to sell more copies of halo5 on ps4 than xone,and its a ms exclusive. thats how good its doing

We'll see how MS goes in the holidays and how much appeal MCC has but I'm inclined to agree with you here. FC4, GTA5, and Destiny will all sell significantly during the holidays and they all have exclusive advertising with Playstation and exclusive content deals (especially FC4 with the keys). Then you have LBP3 which is a GREAT family title with local co-op to give them some of that Nintendo appeal coupled with their lead going in and the friend networks taking effect and you may have a big PS4 holidays. Hell Driveclub could have a bigger impact than Forza given that it's not a yearly title (Madden of racing games) and doesn't have a PS3 version (yes I know LBP3 has a PS3 version as well so this could apply to that as well).

I think supply constraints or insane Xbox deals ($299) could prevent 1.5M from being the gap.

Which is why Sony should really release more bundles in the US, especially the GTAV bundle.

Why does it seem that all bold prediction in favour of ps4 ends up being not that bold but for X1/WiiU they end up preposterous boom.
