Microsoft said no to the shared servers, they don't want Xbox gamers to play with PS gamers.

In dungeons, try to use your Emerald Carbuncle ! You're a DPS, so you should deal damage first. Your Topaz Carbuncle takes aggro, and it makes things more difficult for the real tank (I don't think you need an off-tank in the first dungeons). Use it only if your real tank is bad or dead (or in solo of course).

You are right about me being DPS; however, the Topaz Carbuncle did save us from a wipe last night becasue the tank dropped and pet tanked it forthe rest of the boss fight no problem at all.  The healer looked a little worried until he realized the boss wasn't after him, like at all.  I think I got my first payer commendation from that run. :)

Using the pets full potential has been very fun.  Once I hit 30 though, it will be away with him for sure.  I'll be healing then.  A little nervous to be a main healer, but we'll see.

There's no reason why you shouldn't have both maxed. Most I run with have had to learn both.

I did say "if your real tank is bad or dead" ;)

During my first Ifrit try (as a pugilist), the tank and me both died, and we've watched a conjurer, an arcanist and a Topaz Carbuncle tanking and killing it. I didn't know what a Carbuncle was at that time, I was "a little" surprised to see that !

You need to be a lvl 15 Conjurer to be a Scholar, so you should try to do the first dungeons as a Conjurer (Sastasha, Tam-Tara, Copperbell Mines), it will get you used to be a main healer (and they are usually really easy for a healer). Don't start as a healer with Haukke or Brayflox, they can quickly get ugly if your tank and healer are bad.

The tank in my last party did not take to kindly to the topaz critter stealing his aggro, so finally decided to use the ugly, yuckly blue one instead. LOL.  I'm actually surprised anyone even bothers to mention "DPS" at such low levels, as this junk is ridiculous easy.  Seriously, Deadmiens seems harder than this stuff so far but I'm still a newbie I suppose.

I'm almost level 22 (slow week) now and feel like I'm stuck in Ragefire Chasm still.  I am looking forward to unlocking Eos soon, and hope my main healing from WoW raids carries me well early on since you see it gets really hard at 30. I have tons of macro experience form WoW too and I'm already figuring out a few I can put to work.  So far, I"m loving my experince and think I've finally found an MMO to completely replace WoW with.  The gameplay is fun, and the battle music awesome.  I love the boss theme is... boss! :)

Finally, I have some questiosn for you... How does Duty Roullette work?  Is it like WoW Daily Dungeon or something where you get massive EXP the first run only? How do I unlock other dungeons besdies Deepcroft and Satasha?

Dungeons are the fastest, but most boring imo of getting EXP.

Duty Roulette gives you a huge exp boost but only once a day. Once you do DFR, you should always do the queue for the dungeon that is the highest one you can get. If you don't have dungeons unlocked then what you need to do is the main questline. If you don't have something in the game, like Chocobo or Primals its probably because you haven't done the Main Questline enough.

In fact, until you start leveling up again, Main Questline should be your main priority imo.

Not to mention, since your not ACN yet, you should get as much EXP as you can because DPS queues are the worst. The second you become SCH, you'll get DF much quicker in seconds rather than minutes.

Also, if you can put all of your points in mind unless you plan to be summoner as well.

I read that Mind increased heals so I was already putting all points there. I have been throwing some heals as backup because some healers are struggling to keep tanks up I notice in recent runs. I am about 80% in on level 29 though, so I will be main heals soon.   I am very excited about finally hitting level 30 sometime later today.  I expect the learning curve (if any) won't be too bad for me, but we'll see!

I am ove the opinion that Brayflox is harder than all dungeons before it... combined. It and Haukke Manor had tanks scared before the runs even started. We made it through no problem, but I have never seen a tank lose over half their health non crit before. LOL. These monsters were hitting ridiculous hard! :)

sweet :)

Will be interesting to hear how you like sch (I love both smn and sch) and what you think about qarn or cutters cry as they are a bit harder

Edit: And Stone Vigil. That one can be hard as a healer.
