$400 million is mostly for NFL to use and showcase Surface tablets, and to have logos plastered everywhere. Very little to do with XBox altogether. |
While that may be true, it still makes the NFL more synonymous with MS than Sony or Nintendo. They also had a deal with EA for exclusive advertising, which was probably another multimillion deal. Either way, both deals haven't really done anything for MS.

It is easy until 2011 when NPD stopped to give us numbers.

It's too bad these sales mean jack for Sony. They lost way too much money on the ps3,psp and ps vita that the ps4 will probably just make them break even on the Playstation brand. Also, they are going bankrupt so they won't be here for long.

Yep. On Football Sundays, you'll see the X1 a lot during commerical breaks. Too bad it did not help the X1 at all.....

trololololololol! Try a better argument, as Sony (as a whole) still has a market cap of over $20 Billion, and they are not going bankrupt any time soon.
If you guys want early 7th gen HW numbers, go to vgsales.com. They have them updated to December 2011.
Won bet with t3mporary_126 - I correctly predicted that the Wii U's LTD at the end of 2014 would be closer to 9 million than 10 million. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=6673287
welp one down one more to go for PS4 if it can manage Nov it should win all NPDs for the year, cant see XB1 win Sept, Oct or Dec
really impressed with the PS4 win wouldnt of been surprised if xb1 won b/c they had the bundle and came of a price cut, would think PS4 would drop from last month 180k b/c of people waiting for the destiny bundle, really there wasnt anything pushing PS4 HW for the month
