I checked it briefly and it lets you see current highlight reels and checks if you're friends are online when you go to your friend list. Has anyone else use this website and discovered any more stuff on it?

Didn't know about this... was it announced when they launched? I saw the news yesterday, and even tried it this morning. Its kinda barebones but it works.

I haven't uploaded any videos yet, so that part is useless for me; but being able to see who is online is cool, and the time trial charts are better than the ingame ones (how is that even possible?) although the loading is still slow.

Why didn't they launch this as a WiiU MK8TV app? It's worse than the Wii's but at least it's something.

Actually its only a website which is customized to work for smartphone browsers as well. I have no idea if there will be a Mario Kart 8 app in the future though but I believe Nintendo mentioned in their past financial investor meeting so who knows.

Just booted up MK8 and the info on the website is out-of-date. My points at least are off by 300.
