News: iPhone 6 Getting Huge Dev Support, EA, Square Enix, Ubisoft & More

Earlier today Apple revealed that there will be two new iPhone models joining the already bloated family of mobile hardware; the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s.

The announcement didn’t really surprise anyone, but the amount of developers who are actively working on new games for the latest bit of kit from the smart-phone manufacturer certainly came as a surprise.

Among the confirmed publishers and developers currently overseeing project for the iPhone 6 are EA, Epic Games, Ubisoft, Rebellion, 505 Games and Square Enix.

Now this isn’t the full list of teams working on upcoming content for the iPhone 6, but they are some of the most high-profile companies within the industry.

What games are they making? That’s anyone’s guess, but I’m sure we’ll hear more as the release date for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 draws closer, which incidentally isn’t too far away, September 19th being precise.

With the iPhone 6 getting plenty of support from developers and publishers alike, you’ll be hard pressed to find yourself bored with the device. Might be worth flogging your PS Vita though, the iPhone 6 seems to have more support than the poor handheld.

Will you be getting the iPhone 6? If so, will it become your primary gaming device for when you’re out on the move, or will you still be carrying your Nintendo 3DS or PS Vita in your pocket? Let us know down in the comments section down below.

"Bigger than bigger"
Couldn't they come up with something better?

Meh, I'm no fan of mobile games in general.
And if I do I only play puzzle games like Mahjong and stuff.

I just jumped over my own shadow and got a Galaxy Note 3. I'm quite pleased with it.
I'm not against Apple products per se, (I find them visually pleasing) I just hate to use iTunes to put content on the device.

Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

SUCKS

Please no.

I'm absolutely addicted to Kairosoft games. I never thought it would happen, but today I'm playing mostly on my iPhone. You just have the damn thing also with you! But well, the best games are from tiny studios so I don't care too much about that news. Most of the big studios just give you crappy free to play titles where you spend more time looking at advertising than actually play the game and then they want you to pay for every stupid little thing. That's just not fun.

I'm not getting the iPhone 6 though. Perfectly happy with the 5S, I really like the small screen and I'm somewhat disappointed that Apple joins the big screen madness. No Sony, 4,6" is NOT compact! I'll wait for the iPhone 6S, hopefully they announce a model with 4" screen and highend hardware next year. I'm only going bigger if I have no other choice left.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Nah. I have nothing against apple, but mobile gaming isn't my thing. I have the galaxy note 3 and I never played any games on it. However, I can't wait for the galaxy note 4.

Are you talking about Xperia Z3 Compact? It looks beautiful. I might get it if the price is not too high.

They will never get more money than the next 1 hit wonder. This is 1 of the reasons there needs to be another gaming crash. To teach the turd parties a lesson.
