The Xbox One is kind of high black level.

A preview of the Full Face Off available on DF now-

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-destiny-xbox-one-performance-analysis

Summary- Both the Xbox One and PS4 version are practically identical. The main difference is gamma (skewed on Xbox as usual).

This pretty much confirms that the article in this original post is bullshit. The game looks great on XB1 and went to 1080p with zero performance hits. Game looks great on both consoles but I bet that the argument will now shift to 'lazy devs' and PS4 being under-utilized'.

Don't forget the bullshit MS "forced parity" argument.

Uuuuhhhh? That's a pretty significant difference... Anyone who does't see that the PS4 version clearly looks better is kidding themselves.

edit: speaking about the pictures in the OP of course.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Whoever took those captures set the RGB ranges up wrong on the XB1, that's why they look like that. Considering the site it came from, it's fully probable that they did so on purpose.

EDIT: Full DF comparison: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2014-destiny-face-off

hm, this is interesting

seems more like a tv/console settings matter, I don't think Activision thought like ''hey let's bash the XboxONE owners by making the colours less bright''

pockethamster is taking it from a more artistic perspective, I understand what you are saying cause there are times a more dull image fits better, but in this case, I don't think the sun or sunlight is supposed to look dull instead of bright

in this comparison Ps4 version looks definitely better, but I don't think it is the general case

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

DF made a faceoff. pretty much both platforms are the same.

So the article in the op told us crap. Good to see that DF told us the truth about the "vibrant colors".
