If Wii U development was stalled when the team was sent off months before release to the other divisions to help speed up their development, and the Wii U version is schedule to release a similar number of months after they resumed development, it's posible that the Wii U version may have actually been ready at the scheduled time.

Close to it but maybe with a lot more bugs and errors, the development was halted for 5 months, the game is releasing 6 months later, and does not have additional support from additional members of other team, so the time difference is closer to 2 months than just 1, without that extra time the game could have been finished but with less QA time, which usually means worse framerate (to whatever they have achieved here, we don't if it is good or not), more bugs, and less polish in general.

I'm expecting the usual total media blackout on this version of the game, with no footage or screens released prior to the game itself coming out.

From all the times and schedules you have said, sorry DLC or any day one DLC doesn't sound possible. Hell, it'd be a miracle if the Wii U got any.

I'd put my money on no DLC for Wii U. At this point I feel like they just want to get it over with and wash their hands of it. (And Wii U)

Day one DLC is technically possible... this DLC is usually worked just after submitting the game for approval of the platform holder (which is done by this moment or the November release date would be impossible), that means that baring some developers and testers who are squashing minor bugs and waiting in case the version submitted contains any crashing errors, almost all the team is doing nothing, so this is the time when they could be working on day one DLC, since that one only needs approval 1 week before release and it does not requires printing the disks and distributing them.

The question is... is it worth it to work on DLC for the Wii U version of the game? or is it better just to move the team to another project? or is it better just to let the people go and just keep the core team till a new project arises?

I'd rather them work do some quick work on any type of sorry DLC if that would exist(I doubt they would ever do that). If not, just have them work on a patch or 2 and let them move onto there next project. I'm sure Ubisoft has them planned for another project by now.

Considering AC:4 didn't get any, chances this does is slim.

They are slim indeed, maybe if before moving the artists to other projects they left some alternate skins for the player or the NPCs, that could be a thing. But anyhthing beyond that would require additional work, which I am beting nobody will make taking into account that the sales of DLC on the console for a game that will struggle on retail should be very low.

Any chance your inside guy can spill the beans on resolution or anything like that?

Impossible to reach that level of detail, he works in QA, they are more concern with the game not crashing and working in general that pixel counting, in addition he is not directly involved with that project (but I do know who to blame if those AC games crash too often), he can only see videos of reported errors and status updates from the development team (practically on the same building), his latest update to me is "it looks very close to 360 version, it has improved a lot compared to the status from January when it was halted".

wahahahaha Ubisoft delays a game for months to add a map. Hahahaha!! Then they say their is no conspiracy hahahahahaha against Nintendo hahahaha. Even though the game could have been ported in time for release with the others hahahahahaha. Ubisoft hahahaha! Second only to EA hahahaha.

They don't even get that their gimped games don't sell on Wii U because they are gimped so people buy Nintendo consoles for first party games not for gimped 3rd party games. Then they actually hahahahahhahaha oh....they actually release a full price gimped game late on the console and when it sells bad they will use the failure as justification for the gimped and late sale.

I wouldn't hold my breath for anything above 720p and (not close to stable)30FPS. They were able to make some small upgrades with AC4 on the Wii U, I expect the same to come from Watch Dogs.

I think it is a good estimate, only thing that is 100% sure is loooong load times, the system RAM is bigger than 360 and PS3 but is also slower.

I thought the bigger issue was that PS3/360 load from HDD while Wii U has to stream everything from the disc, which is a lot slower.
