Most people are not being affected... the thing is getting bigger because some Tier 2 countries received a full batch of Xbones that did have the issue.


The sound is similar to the Youtube video, like the HDD or the Disc drive seeking and jumping a position, but not that loud or constant.

It´s still quieter than my notbook and it´s not even close to the 360 noise level.

Friend of mine who had ordered the FiFa 15 + Forza 5 kinectless bundle had this issue. He said it sounded like a mtrix printer. He immediately brought it back after setup (didn't bother downloading the games) and the shop offered a replacement but said it would likely be the same. They had been getting a lot back already.
Other option, send it in for repairs, but who's going to send something in for repairs on the first day...
Then they offered him a ps4 when he asked for his money back. Since he already has that, he just wanted a refund. He'll try again with the white Sunset Overdrive bundle. Should be different hardware.

Bad first impression, not a good idea after 360's notorious start.
