Xenogears was the best Square RPG I've ever played. Xenosaga had an interesting setting, but ended in a Cliffhanger. I haven't played Xenoblade Chronicles though.

Me!
Tough question, but for me Xenogears is still the best game ever made, so it takes the cake. I rank Xenoblade after that, but its a different beast, more about exploration while still having a good plot. Xenosaga episode 3 was really good, but 1 and 2 were very slow paced and boring.
I only played Xenoblade so Xenoblade loll
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
Like some others here, I can really only pick Xenoblade because it's the only one I've played. I don't know if going back to play Xenogears would help now since I'm not sure how well that game aged.

Xenoblade wasn't intended to be in the series originally.
Having only played Gears and Blade, I'll say blade. If that wasn't obvious enough.

Xenogears, closely followed by Xenoblade
Which was the best overall?
Xenoblade by far, it plays in another league and is the best JRPG of last generation. No PS3 or 360 game comes even close and I also don't know any PS2 JRPG that does. The game is in my JRPG Top 3 of all time, right after Chrono Cross and Final Fantasy 8 and before Dragon Quest 5 PS2 and a large number of SNES games.
