If a company launched a console before about 5 years after release, you can kiss that companies credibility goodbye. Not gonna happen, Super Wii U 2016 or 17, XB2 2018 or 2019. There will NOT be a new home console before 2016, I guarantee it.

Nah

Please tell me this is a joke post...

                                                                                                               You're Gonna Carry That Weight.

Xbox One - PS4 - Wii U - PC

9 people are idiots.

No.

Well, we have two issues here:

- Consoles take time to develop: you need several years to develop a console. You can't do that on a year or two. These guys are still doing post-mortem analysis to check where they were wrong and what they did right.
Add to this that to launch a console in November 2015 you probably have to start production in June or May. That makes the OP date even more ridiculous. And to have games for it, the dev kits should already be with devs a long time ago. That makes the OP date impossible. Even 2016 is completely insane. Not even 3DS, the older console right now, will have a sucessor since they just launched the New 3DS that is basically a 3DSi.

- They would "Dreamcast" themselves: The Dreamcast was much more powerful than the PS1. But it was much more expensive, the PS1 had a massive user base and lots of games in its library and to still launch. DC simply suffered with its competition and when the PS2 was coming, they were done.
A 2015 console would have better graphics than the PS4, but only slightly. It would be more expensive, but the launch titles would probably look worse than the more optimized PS4 2015 Holidays titles. The PS4 would probably have at least 25M+install base. Sony could just welcome the new competition with a price cut and do a slaughter. Anyone launching a console as early as Sega did with the DC (and that was 3-4 years), will just kill its current gen system and lose the next one imediatily and probably get out of the console business.

No, we won't because consoles take years to develop/make, and even doing so would only destroy consumer confidence in the company's product. Dropping their current gen console and coming out with another $350-$400 console so soon is like admitting they don't even faith in their own machinery. Not a lot of peope will buy it because they will feel unsure of how long the company will actually support it's own product. It would honestly just make matters worse imo.

Exactly. Also, whatever is the situation in term of shares, they spent a lot for launch (including dev kit, hardware, etc.), and they are far from a total failure, it's time to start making money.
