I read that Chloë Grace Moretz said that piracy stopped Kick-Ass 3 3D from happening.

So, is this true?

Probably has more to do with the second movie making roughly $40 million less at the box office, though I'm sure the piracy didn't help. It's a shame too, since I think both movies are excellent.

Oh, so it's because piracy helped the last movie make only $40 million dollars, that they won't make another one.

Well Kick-Ass 2 could have made great use of 3D by just being converted. I mean it made such natural use throughout, but it wasn't in 3D. So they can just make Kick-Ass 3 in 3D to make around 100 million dollars despite piracy reducing sells.
