HoS impertinence. Interesting that you've somewhat clarified your statement without being prompted to.

"4 people have flipped already with generic roles without a character name. "

"At least this pattern seems to hold for terran units. "

Yes, please tell me how you knew that dark templars were generic roles.

I don't know it for a fact, but I'm pretty sure they are. The first thing I did when I saw Astro's flip was to look op dark templar on the StarCraft wiki, because the name sounded like it might be some sort of power role, but nothing there indicates that the dark templar is anythign but a standard gruond troop for the protoss. Especially when Sparks flipped the same it reinforces my thinking that dark templar is pretty much vanilla mafia.

Anyhow, I think power roles have characters, and you claimed a power role. Do you have a character or name?

The standard ground troop for protoss is zealot. Dark templar is a role. It's invisible. Whether or not that is vanilla for protoss, only they could know. What it would mean is that if dark templars made night kills, they wouldn't be seen by watchers etc. So, ninja wold be their role.

As I said before, I'm not claiming yet. So there's really no point pursuing this line of inquiry, which has already been asked twice and FoSed by Wright.

Clarification:
my role only detects personal cloaking abilities specifically.

EBWOP:
items, not abilities.
So I assume it only works for the ghost, while wright's more likely also works for things such as lurkers, DTs, etc.

Padib, again, how does your sense work? Is it an action? Is it always on? Do you have to target anyone?

This is not consistent with the StarCarft wiki that says Dark Templar is simply a tribe of protoss, no mention of it being a specific role with specific abilities. But assuming you are right, are you saying we have uncoverd two ninja's? Isn't that a bit much for mafia to roll out?

Depends on how the game is set up. Really worrying that you havent considered possibilities for the setup. It comes across as if you're playing dumb.

Yeah, well. Really worring that your reasoning for not claiming is to give yourself a challenge. It comes across as putting yourself ahead of the interest of town. Especially since your claim raises some legitimate concerns, and you felt you needed to lie about it.

Nice chainsaw. Responding to a line of reasoning with undermining my playstyle.

I'm not about to play the claim game yet, especially when you yourself said that there is no reason for people to claim without pressure.

My feeling is that prof is either Zerg or Protoss but isn't lying about his ability. He's helping town with the hunt for the Ghost since scum also loses if they get blown to bits.
