I was looking around on Amazon to see if there was anything I wanted in the bestsellers list, and I've got to say, I was surprised by how limited our Top 20 on that list is. Of 20 places, 8 different games take up spaces with their various SKUs. FIFA 15 currently holds numbers 3,4,6,7,10,12,16 & 17... I know it has a big market over here but seriously!? There is one surprise entry currently up there (Bayonetta 2, but I believe that's probably just post Nintendo Direct boost). But yeah, I'm not sure if there's a lot to say I just felt that this needed sharing. Come on UK we can do better than this!

Fifa getting into the top 10 every year makes me really sad...

Football is practically a way of life in the UK. It doesn't mean there is a limited taste across the board. Games like Ni No Kuni have topped the charts before so there is definitely a market for something more niche

I think you are looking at the wrong time. Look in say February next year and the list would be very different. Just before FIFA comes out, well the best sellers list will have FIFA on it.

Still better than the Japanese charts. All european charts are samey and the US loves online shooters and madden.

Most people in the UK think Knack is a better game Super Mario 3D World! ;) (but I think they'll change their minds on that this holiday)

Sales charts mostly reflect mainstream tastes. For hobbyist gamers, the charts will almost always look a little bland.

Well I have always seen the UK to be boring with their purchases. At least in the US there is some diversity with some Japanese games and Nintendo games that can sell. The UK is very western only with a lot of FIFA and FPS... Also look at Alien: Coloniel Marines sales over there =P

Well, millions of people play football in real life or watch the games of their favourite team. It's really not a surprise that these people also like to play football games and that these games sell more as some random game.

Football games are also some of the best games to play together with friends so that they are also great for this purpose. Especially great when you meet with friends to watch some football. Something you can't say about most other games (Mario Kart is also awesome for this).
