Halo's appeal, outside of the US and UK is EXTREMELY limited. Bundling MCC would do about as much good as including NFL Sunday Ticket in these markets!

Its actually way too late. PS4 launched in over 50 countries by early 2014 compared to just 13 for X1.

Halo isn't as strong outside of the Anglophone realm, so waiting to bundle the X1 with MCC won't help that much.

We've gone over this many times, it was not a matter of timing. MS's strategy of dividing the launch territories backfired. They expected to completely sell out and dominate in Tier 1 with tier 2 eagerly awaiting for the best thing since slided bread. It did not happen. Gamers in tier 2 countries have been able to get an xbox one almost since launch.

I think one question that needs to be asked is why Microsoft felt it was okay to skip those regions?  There is a logical reason for Microsoft to call Japan a Teir 2 country.  Those regions are areas that are less important to Microsoft because they make up such a small portion of THEIR overall market share. 

They should have launched it much sooner. Letting PS4 build up such a substantial lead in tier 2 countries has been one of their biggest mistakes.

I'm not reeeeally sure Halo would have as big a boost in the tier 2 countries, particularly the ones that were more heavily interested in the Playstation brand last generation. I mean, if you're not already a Halo fan, then the Master Chief Collection's appeal would likely come down to 'four games in one,' and not actually have hype for the games themselves, which might not be enough to convince folks there to buy the console. Fifa's definitely the better choice.
