Wouldn't bother.. With Android TV devices coming out later this year.. They have a more gaming focus and access to Google Play. While Amazon Fire TV is nice, the store is very limited.

Actual gaming companies like Razer will be making Android TV consoles..

What do you mean? Google Play has movies for sale and rent. as well as the ability to download NetFlix, Hulu, etc..

Amazon Fire TV was on sale for $85 for a day. The most recent holiday. I'm not sure how good it is, but it's Android based, so can be unlocked to play anything Android. It's more powerful than a Vita, has internal and external storage capabilities. I'm going to get one eventually.

I wouldn't hold my breath for anything decent that's exclusive though. Just think about it as an all in one entertainment device that can hook up seven controllers wirelessly and can play everything from NES to N64 full speed.

Sideloading apps will not be of the quality that apps built for the system will be. There is always issues with this sort of thing and NetFlix, Hulu, etc.. It will also not play "anything" Android as man apps will not work at all.

Again.. Don't see much reason to buy one when Android TV will be out in just a few months. They will be more powerful and more capabale devices.
