Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4 is getting 4 major AAA enjoyments in the next 5 months

Actually that's not that bright...

But it is better than now, for sure.

Didn't know Little Big Planet 3 is AAA :O

Zero hype for Driveclub, but I'm interested in LBP, Bloodborne and The Order, so this is nice.

Why wouldn't it be? I'm honestly curious because people keep saying this but never provide an actual reason.

Well the opposite is also true... You keep coming with your "AAA" thing without giving any definition of it. Looks like for a many people Drive Club/LBP are not AAA based on their own understanding of a AAA. You created this thread so maybe instead of responding useless things like "Not it is a ABC", you should provide a clear definition of what is a AAA?

Some in here are so jaded, its sad.
These games are great, Sony's roster of games has been excellent so far. When comparing to PS3's and 360's first year of games, PS4's is head and shoulders better. Sure, a few are cross gen but so what? The idea is that no one has to miss out on the game whether they are making the transition now or later. Point being, if you own a PS4(only) you have quite the selection of games to play.

I am personally looking forward to all except Driveclub(no interest in racers). LBP3, Natural Doctrine, DA3 Inquisition, Infamous SS/First Light, etc this year. The Order and Bloodborne early next year really cements it for me as well.

Even disregarding the fact that LGB3 isn't PS4 exclusive, none of those have the hype that Smash or Halo have. Additionally, Microsoft is getting 3 (Halo Master Chief, Forza Horizon 2, which is exclusive in the same sense that LBP3 is, and Sunset Overdrive.) Having one more, especially when that one was supposed to be launched a while ago (Driveclub was supposed to release earlier this year) isn't all that impressive. Nintendo, meanwhile also has at least 4 (Smash, again as exclusive as Halo or LGB3, Bayonetta 2, Captain Toad, and Hyrule Warriors), as we don't know if any of their 2015 titles are landing in January or February. So Sony having 4 isn't all that impressive. Regardless, Sony will dominate anyway simply because the PS4 is destined to do better.

But if we count the entire year, MS gets/has gotten Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2 and Halo MCC.

Sony got/gets Infamous, MLB 14 The show, TLOU:R, Driveclub, LBP3.

That's 5 for Sony versus 4 for the XBO

TLOU:R really (1/2 points ).....  Infamous: First light (stand alone expension should get 1/2 point)

you forgot Kinect Sports Rivals, 6 month timed exclusive Plant vs Zombies (1/2 point), Project Spark, Dance Central Spotlight & Fantasia: Music Evolve

That's 5 for Sony versus 8.5 for the XBO

Plant vs Zombies has come to the PS4 though, Dance Central Spotlight is downloadable only, so if we should count that then we should also count all the downloadable only exclusives the PS4 has gotten.

Why is TLOU:R 1/2 a point if MCC (remaster) and LBP3 (cross-gen), Project Spark (cross-gen) Forza Horizon 2 (cross gen), MLB 14 The Show (cross-gen) and Titanfall (crossgen, and got a PC release) all gets 1 point? Surely they should also only get 1/2 point?

Also for the PS4 I forgot Guilty Gear Xrd (cross-gen), Singstar (if you're including fantasia music evolved, then I'm including this), Final Fantasy XIV (cross-gen).

Using equal logic (1/2 point for cross-gen and remasters) for both companies gives us:

Sony: 5 (5,5 if you want to give First light half a point)

Microsoft: 4,5

So it's still a lead for Sony.

Because Little Big Planet games by Media Molecule (And, by extention, Tearaway) weren't AAA. I don't picture Sumo Digital using a budget of the size of The Last of Us to produce Little Big Planet 3.

I totally disagree. One fact I can come up with, is the number of different languages the game (or games if you count Tearaway as well) is translated. That alone makes about a few millions of addtional costs. And I also don't know why people still think MM is still indie when their recent games have nothing close to be considered an indie game. I guess maybe we should consider Mario games, the platformers, indie too nowadays.

Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom came translated into tons of languages, and yet that game isn't AAA. Translating, if you know were to look, doesn't cost that much.

Umm no. 2 or 3 perople said they are not AAA which is laughable and never gave a reason. DC has been made by one of sonys' first party studios who are AAA industry vets...It has a big budget and production values, same as LBP...how are either not AAA?

This thread is an embarassment, xbox and N fans coming in downplaying games that are not out, trying to spin how a game is good, bad or not a game at all...you all should be ashamed, what a mess.

Show me a console that had AAA exclusives released every month???

Keep in mind, Ps4 has more AAA games released so far in 2014, what ahs x1 had since titanfall??? A drought. Sony spreads out releases, Ms does not have enough to do the same.

2015 is even worse for MS with Sony's TGS and gamescom announcements.

Sad thread that showcases how bad game culture is. People arguing over what is a game and isn;t, basically discrediting anything because it is not on there piece of electronics.

PS4 has more games in the first 9 months then wiiu or x1 had, deal with it. That's fact. Ps4 suiccess has so many butthurt it's sad.

DC and LBP are, they are not indy, they have AAA priduction values and are made by AAA devs......your argument makes zero sense. In that case mario is not AAA>

And are those games voiced by proper voice-actors and translated in MANY languages? I do know translating a japanese game to english costs a lot, I imagine LBP costs are above the million mark since the voice-acting is movie quality, at least in my language and in english.
