After E3 I went through both Sony and MS' conferences announcement for announcement...
This was the result...
went through both conferences and this was my assessment...
Sony showed new KZ DLC... MS showed new DR3 DLC (DR3 is going on PC)...
Sony showed The Order (2015)... MS did not show Quantum Break (2015)...
Sony did not show DriveClub... MS showed Forza Horizon 2...
Sony put out Entwined today ($9.99)... MS put out Forza Nurbring today (Free) (Nonrelated)...
Sony showed Battlefield 4 with PS4 timed exclusivity... MS showed CoD AW with X1 timed exclusivity...
Sony showed Destiny and talked about exclusive content... Microsoft showed Evolve and talked about exclusive content...
Sony announced a white SKU with Destiny... MS announced Threes for XB (In which the PS4 SKU is outselling all 3 combined because it's of better value)...
Sony talked PSN... MS announced Happy Wars for XB (Again unrelated)...
Sony talked their camera... MS had Disney Fantasia and Dance Central for Kinect (How is this a match? Actually, why would you even include this when it doesn't really appeal to the core?)...
Sony talked Grim Fandango... MS showed Sunset Overdrive (Again! Unrelated)...
Sony announced new DLC for infamous... On the Green Carpet before the show MS announced new DLC coming for Titanfall (Titanfall is on PC)...
Sony announced LBP3... MS had Project Spark (No one has really talked about Project Spark. LBP3, on the other hand...)...
Sony showed Far Cry 4 with PS4... MS showed Assassin's Creed Unity...
Sony showed Dead Island 2...
Sony talked about Disney Infinity 2 exclusive launch...
MS announced Scalebound...
Sony showed Magicka 2 exclusive... MS announced Phantom Dust...
Sony announced a bunch of Indie games and F2P games... MS announced just as many Indie games (Like...?)...
Sony announced Let It Die... MS announced Crackdown reboot (Okay, seriously. Enough with the unrelated comparisons)...
Sony announced Abzu... MS announced Ori and the Blind Forest...
Sony announced No Man's Sky first on PS4... MS announced Inside first on XB...
Sony showed Mortal Kombat X... MS showed Killer Instinct Season 2 (Another unrelated comparison. KI: S2 is not a new game. It's an add-on)...
Sony talked Ratchet and Clank remastered... MS no more remasters in 2015 yet...
Sony talked Last of Us remastered... MS talked Halo Master Chief Edition...
Sony announced Bloodborne... MS had Fable Legends (You know, since you did this with Guilty Gear. I'm going to do the same with Fable Legends. It's not going to do well in both sales and reviews because the previous entries were pretty darn bad)...
Sony showed MGS V... MS announced next Tomb Raider...
Sony announced GTA V for PS4... MS showed Witcher 3... Both multi-platform...
Sony talked Batman Arkham Knight with exclusivity... MS showed Dragon's Age with exclusivity...
Sony showed UC4 trailer... MS showed Halo Guardians Beta trailer ...
All-in-all it looks pretty even (You don't just count the announcements and then haphazardly put them side by side)... If you actually watched both conferences... But then again a lot of over zealous fans can't seem to see through the marketing BS and only see what they want to see...
If you want go through all the other conferences and do the same... I've done E3 which was the largest.

So you only did E3 which was Sony's worst conference this year. E3 is also the first major conference, so it's pretty obvious that Sony and MS would announce relatively the same. However, you have to do consistently well in ALL conferences. It's like in American football, you have to score well in all 4 quarters or otherwise the other team will outscore you. MS showed most of their hand and had almost nothing to show in Gamescom. Tokyo Game Show is an even worse situation for MS while Sony just had their pre-TGS conference on Sep. 1 and are having another one on the 17th. Sony was smart to spread out their announcements to keep their conferences fresh.
As a result, you still need to address the following:
The Tomorrow Children
Volume
Omega Quintet
Natural Doctrine
Dragon Quest Heroes
Persona 5
Hellblade
DayZ
H1Z1
Planetside 2
P.T. (Silent Hills)
Tearaway Unfolded
Until Dawn
Hollowpoint
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Alienation
Wild
Ys
Gran Turismo 7
The Witness
Without Memory
God Eater 2
Yakuza: Zero
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Rime
Shadow of the Beast
Hotline Miami 2
N++
Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-
Hyperdimension Neptunia
Senran Kagura: Estvial Versus
Salt and Sanctuary
Disgaea 5
Hot Shots Golf
Without Memory
Dust: An Elysian Tail
MLB 15: The Show
Natural Doctrine
Samurai Warriors 4
The Witness
Rays the Dead
So you need to "match" 41 more titles. Not to mention, the list doesn't include unacnnounced projects from Sony's other 1st parties like Guerilla Games, Guerilla Cambridge, Sony London (they confirmed to have 2 projects), Santa Monica Studio, Media Molecule (their new IP, not Tearaway), Quantic Dream, and more. Also, the PS4 will have its Tales and Atelier games, too.
Add onto the fact that PS4 already has a lot more games than the X1 thus far, this is no contest. Point being, PS4 had more games then, has more games now, will have more in the near future, and will have even more games in the far future.
