Forums - Nintendo Discussion - I tried the Hyrule Warriors demo @ Gamestop and...

The game looked like loads of fun on E3. For me it falls into the cathegory of games that you have to pick up once you own the console, but not one that makes you want to buy the console for. Still, Wii U needs as many such games as possible

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I pre-ordered it yesterday (had some Amazon gift cards) and it was #1 in Wii U games and I think #19 overall in video games (partly a reply to Clyde32 but i'm on my phone and the reply button doesn't work).

It does seem like it should be decent (but not great probably).

Edit: have played Samurai Warriors Chronicles on the 3DS and it seems like it'll be better than that.

Check out my site: http://www.agamingwebsite.blogspot.com/

Currently playing: Bayonetta, Destiny (barely), Fantasy Life

Probably Getting: Bravely Second, Devil's Third, Final Fantasy 15, Final Fantasy Explorers, Super Smash Bros U, Star Fox U, The Witcher 3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Zelda U

Do you think you can endure the button mashing combat for 10 hours?

I preordered the game but, i just wanna know your thoughts like if you think it will get boring or not.

From what I read about the game, they change this enough to not make it feel boring, like for example, for a few missions they keep the same characters but change the missions and the weapons, and then when you should start getting bored they make you change the character and so on. It is not too long but you should not get bored also, unless till the end of the game.

I'm just not feeling it. >.>

Its an interesting game, nice to hear that people like it but this is a game I will wait on if I ever decided to buy it.

It's Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda skin. If you like Dynasty Warriors you'll like this. If you don't like Dynasty Warriors you won't. If you're indifferent to Dynasty Warriors, the Zelda them might sway you.

anyone know how long this game will be?

I can tell you, but I'll mark it as a spoiler!

Around 10 hours for the Story mode, but there is also the adventure mode and the challenge mode which will be added on release!

I think if you like Zelda storylines, I'd expect it to be worth a playthrough. Based on the mission I had, I think there will be enough variety so it's not a total grind. Co op, even with a novice gamer should certainly be fun.

For me, it feels better being a $50 rather than $60. But plenty of good stuff that I don't think many will regret getting this

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Keep in mind that the game is still going to be supported in the future.

The first update already brought the new Challenge Mode, so maybe we'll get more free stuff soon!

Well considering I'm a fan of the Musou games, there's a pretty high chance I'll be picking this up, although I'd like them to release a demo beforehand, that'd be nice methinks.

Also, is co-op online or local splitscreen?

Local with one player using the gamepad and the other one the TV.

I don't know if it also has splitscreen.

No online btw.

My only concern with it remains how easy the enemies look in all the footage we've seen (seems like they all just stand there and essentially wait to be killed). Can anyone comment if the AI is ever the least bit challenging? Otherwise it will get boring really quick.
