Forums - Gaming Discussion - Prediction: WII U Will Still be Ahead of XBOX One in 2017

With games like COD, Halo and Destiny, WiiU may not be ahead of Xbone in january really.

The bump that WiiU received thanks to MK8 has made a lot of people lose sense IMO.

I actually don't care enough about the numbers to search beyond what's on VGC but thanks for answering the question.

That I don't blindly believe in whatever is put in front of me? That's what you're suggesting I do. Like that you don't admit 60k on shelves for US and Europe is ridiuclous

If you read back I never suggested you should use VGC numbers. My main interest was to know if you believed the XBO capable of closing the gap (whatever it is) between now and December 31st.

I said January of this year after the strong Xbone launch and I will repeat.

Xbone won't outsell Wii U until Nintendo announces the Wii U's successor.

The sales of this holidays will drop compared with last year same period... and first semester of 2015 it will tank (way lower than this year sales).

BTW Xbone shipments for June 30 is less than 5.7 million... I won't be surprise if it won't reach 7 million shipped at September 30 (likely 6.5m)... sales are right now below 5 million but close to reach it.

BTW Wii U is ~300k overtracked here... I just don't know where.

I didn't know those numbers for Xbone, so thank you. This just makes me more confident it at least won't happen this year.

Especially since November/Dec Wii U sales will almost double from 1.6Million, now that Smash and kart will be out!

Yes you did, with the "Don't trust VGC figures" gibe. I already said about the 60k on shelves but it seems it's even less. So why would I (or anyone else believe them)?? I use and believe VGC figures when they make sense.

Shipped they will pretty much be on par by end of September (XB1 6.5m - 7.2m vs WiiU's 7.1m - 7.4m).

I am still betting on XB1 technically (shipment wise, so official) overtaking by end of September. Depends how September goes.

There is literally a 0% chance of that happening! I'm saying this as a huge Nintendo fan by the way!

So what makes you think Nintendo won't just ship more, or already have????

Yet another one of these threads that is going to look super silly in a matter of weeks.

WiiU won't be ahead ever again come this holiday.

no, that only happens to your crazy prediction threads. but they look ridiculous in a matter of seconds.
