New Hot Shots Golf announced for PS4
Sony golf series returning on PlayStation 4.

Sony announced a new Hot Shots Golf project, currently dubbed “New Minigol Project,” for PlayStation 4 during its Japan Asia press conference this morning. 

The new title will not only let users play golf, but build their own golf resort, as well. With it, Sony hopes to reignite open-world entertainment with a focus on golf.

More details will be shared next year.

Hot Shots Golf is one of the few Sony franchises capable of moving consoles in Japan. The franchise is capable of breaking the 1 million barrier in Japan alone.

I think this is going to replace HOME as the new social hub for gamers. If you remember, they had a sort of mini home in the last version. Now that this has been announced and HOME is being discontinued, I can't help but put the two together, especially after he mentioned the social side of this game.

I love the hot shots golf franchise. I'm still playing the 6th part on the Vita because the community is amazing and it's just super fun, but also needs a lot of skill.

They should have had it ready by now, but it sounds as a late 2015 game. Hopefully it will launch by summer.



So it is happening...PS4 preorder.
