I'm so happy i had to make this to put it in my sig. While it's not really a masterwork it's as good as i could make it with paint.

I'm very excited by this announcement ! I was definitely waiting for a new Ys title. I'll probably import the vita version and then buy the localized ps4 version when it comes out.

Yaaay! And I read in Siliconera that the gameplay will be similar to Seven (or Celceta for that matter)
Also this game looks like a big step forward to the series, can't wait!

This makes me very happy and was not expecting it to be on the PS4. Can't wait to play it. Today was a very good day for RPG fans on the Ps4 and Vita.

Yeah.   So was Mobile Suit Gundam, EDF, and a couple of other games.  I didn't watch the event though so this was the first one I saw posted.

New Ys info:

- Development 30% complete
- Story takes place before 7 and between 5~6
- New action system
- Wants to take advantage of PS4 functions and release as fast as possible
- Huge focus on the ocean

Slightly disappointed. 5 isn't available in the west in any form that I'm aware of, and 6 is a pain to get a hold of.

Napishtim isn't too hard to find these days. I bought a mint copy (PS2) off of Amazon for $25.

6 isn't hard to get. 5 was a piece of junk.

Have you played the Japanese version or was there a fantranslation I don't know about?
