you and the OP have a very different meaning on what late blooming is. FOr the record yours makes a bit more sense 

PS3 at the end of 2007: 9,170,921 (launch + first full year)
Xbox 360 at the end of 2006: 7,990,455 (launch+ first full year)
Wii u at the end of 2013: 5,274,648( launch + first full year)

PS3 at the end of august 2008: 14,879,303
Xbox360 at the end of august 2007: 11,077,822
WiiU at the end of august 2014: 7,096,366

The wii U ain't blooming much, but maybe bayonetta will change that :P

That the claim you've made, whether in jest or in sincerity, can substitute "nintendo" for any of the big 3, or really any brand in general.

I love my Wii U, but the thing is, just like the X1, Nintendo and MS produced undesirable consoles. The Ps4 offers everything one would need (unless you absolutely can't live without the 1000th Halo, Forza, or Gears). This is an obstacle that neither of them will be able to overcome this gen. The PS4 will dominate and there's nothing they can do short of something drastic (like MS doing a $200 price cut or something and even then it'd only help in NA).

I don't think the WiiU is much of a success.

What I'm saying is no matter what Nintendo does,people find ways to downplay it because people dont like Nintendo doing well,least thats how it is on the internet

I think this should be the first system to see two major Mario Kart releases. I think continue with the current DLC, but in 2016 release a Mario Kart like Diddy Kong Racing! Give it a rich story and rpg feel to it!! Mario Kart Adventure or something. Yes another major Mario as in Sunshine 2 or Galaxy 3. They also needed to leave no stone unturned in their chest of IPs!!

They need to also comb the game world for abandoned franchuses that are truly head scratchers why thet were adandoned...something with REAL sales potential e.g., Bayonetta. Pony up the dough for even more 2nd party exclusive titles.

same!! if you take it simply, it has great games already, and the sales are constantly improving along with the library!

not sure by how much, but Smash Bros. will be a system seller, just like MK8! It's up to Nintendo to keep this kind of gems coming
