So yesterday while checking out some games at my local gaming store, I was pleasently surprised to find out that the wii got a version of the game based on the recently released movie How to train your dragon 2. After more research I was even more pleasently surprised to find out that their are numerous games coming out to a system which definately for most is dead. So I decided to make a thread which will be updated listiing all games coming out for the wii this year and all the upcoming years from now on.

2014 New wii game releases:

How to train your dragon 2 ( Released in June sold more than Ps3 and wii u versions and on par with Xbox 360 and 3DS versions )

Disney Violetta: Rytem and music ( Realising somwhere between October-December )

Disney planes fire and rescue ( Realising somewhere between October-December )

Fifa 15: Legacy edition ( Realising 23rd September 2014 )

Just Dance 2015 ( Realising 23rd October 2014 )

Sklanders Trap team ( Releasing 5th October 2014 )

Dream Pinball 3D 2 ( Unknown release date though somewhere in 2014 )

Outdoors unlimited ( Unknown )

So the question I have for you guys are:

Why isn't Disney Infinity coming out on the Wii if the previous game sold the most on the wii?

Yup, the Wii is pretty much dead.. I'm surprised it somehow continues to sell..

The wii is essentially the PS2 right now. Replaced, almost obsolite, but with some games that fit the current demographic and can be easily ported. I suspect it will get a few more years of game releases, not that most of us will notice lol.

Since I used to track the ps2 game releases alot back in the day I would say it did not start getting around 6 game releases a year until around 5 years after the ps3 was released ( 2011 ), and that was a huge drop from 2010.

You would be surprised. I'm almost sure Just dance 2015 will be a million seller.

The PS2 was a beast though, im not denying that at all. I actually think the last wii release will be 2 years from now, no way it lasts as long as PS2.

How were the PS2 software numbers though during that period? In my head im assuming most sold 100-200k for a bit.

I'm sure that Skylanders game will also do OK! :S

Yep , but it barely did 1 million last year meanwhile Just dance 2014 did over 2 million.
