Forums - Sony Discussion - anybody test out playstation now?

How do the games on playstation now run? I was going to test out a game on playstation now,but the line up is small and I don't see any that I like. I might just pick a random game for 4 hours for the hell of it. I don't care about trophies, but I'm still curious to know if there included in the playstation now games. Has anybody experienced any problems with the service? discuss?

I tested Elite Sniper 2 during the free closed beta. My internet connection was plenty good enough, and the game ran pretty well. My opinion is that the current prices aren't worth it, unless you truly just wish to test out a game you are considering getting.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I tried it with dead island rip tide and compared it directly to my bros ps3 version and the only diff I could tell is a slight input lag which I got used to rather quickly, kinda like playing old tomb raider games ( if you get the reference) any way gfx were the same fyi I have 8 mbps connection

I think the problems would arise when they are putting cutting edge games on the service at 1080p. That's when the noticable difference will be seen. Also certain types of games will be unplayable with any amount of input lag.

I feel that if you rent a game on PS Now, then that money spent should be potential money that you could put towards a digital only purchase of that same game on the Playstation Store. Anybody else agree?

I used PlayStation Now very early on during its public beta. I bought a week of Capcom Arcade Cabinet. For the most part, it ran fine without any lag but several times, it would die on me or not load the game.. The big issue with me in regards to PS Now is how quickly it eats up bandwidth. Canadians don't have unlimited bandwidth and I ate up a sixth of my bandwidth during my rental. Unless you have unlimited bandwidth, I can't recommend playing very many games on PS Now.

I think the service is now targeted at games from the PS3 there were not too many of those that ran at 1080p. Ithink by the time they roll out this service for PS4 games they will have improved the infrastructure.  The input lag I experienced was very minor. My only gripe was the price

So far I have played Killzone 3, Oddworld Strangers Wrath, and Enslaved. I was albe to play through Killzone 3 on the hardest setting without any issues. Oddworld was the best of the three performance wise. Enslaved had a slight issue with lag on a couple of occasions. All three titles looked and sounded great as far as PS3 games go. I even fired up the PS3 and Killzone 3 and flipped back and forth, there were small differences, but nothing bad.

I have been very satisfied with the services so far. There are a lot of titles last gen I did not have the time and money to play, but at 5 - 8 dollars a pop its nice to be able to play them and still have the luxeries of the PS4 OS and the DS4. Having the ability to back out and check the internet for advice is a big advantage over playing nativly on PS3. Hope others will give it a try and see for themselves. Looking forward to PS Now for PSV, and hopefully Xperia Smart Phones in the future.

KBG29 on PSN&XBL

Nope. I didn't bother.

It's not very good. The games are playable but don't run like they should. You're better off buying a digital/retail copy.
