You guys are acting like 3 million is a lot for Nintendo's biggest game. I mean Titan Fall that is a new ip and did those numbers on xbox one alone. If I came out and said Halo 5 sold 3 million you guys will say Halo is dead and Microsoft is doom. Those aren't good numbers for a big franchise.

No it was sold. Nintendo doesn't report shipped like Sony or MS. They only report sold.
Its not that Smash will sell more Wii Us than Mario Kart. Its that Smash + Mario Kart (also + Bayonetta + Hyrule Warriors) will sell more Wii Us than Mario Kart alone.

Its all about fan mentality. Fans of every platform believe that any "major" exclusive franchise on that platform will do wonders to the sales of the platform. Damn changing market trends or sales trends of said platform to hell.
Personally, I expect no more of a bump than what MK8 did for the wiiU. The increase in sales of the wiiU will be more due to the holiday season than smash. But forget I said that, nintendo fans would have us believe that smash sold consoles and ignore that during the holiday season all consoles get a bump.
Smash Bros WiiU will improve upon the WiiU's current baseline which is a good thing, you know!

We'll see soon enough, if wiiu has a great increase with SSB then SSB was definitely the better systemseller as MK8 did ok, nothing brag worthy (though Software sales is another story as that did surprisely well.

You realise that MK8 is still selling well every week? That's something most other big IPs don't do.

Bayonetta? Bayonetta only sold around 2 - 3 million lifetime on both xbox 360 and ps3 when they had a install base of 100 million combine. You really think it's going to do great on the Wii U?
