Forums - Gaming Discussion - I don't know why people think Smash will do wonders for the Wii U.

Lol all 3 Smash games are in the top 10 selling fighting games, 2 are in the top 3, never realized. I play competitive fighters and funny enough was never into Smash until recent years, it's probably the hardest fighting game at the highest level, no random player is going to beat a good Smash player.

Nintendo shuld clarify when inSept (direct maybe?). I dont think it'll be delayed solely to the fact of amiibos. Pre orders just opened up for them.

Also the latest Wii U trailer still had it at "Holiday 2014". They won't delay their most important game for the rest of the year, don't worry!

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

2 reasons: Competitive gamers (the ones that do EVO and crap) play console versions of games. Many people will buy a Wii U because of Smash Bros alone. It's a big 6 release: Mario Kart, Smash Bros, full 3D mario adventure, Mario Party, Legend of Zelda, Metroid. This are titles that in one way shape or another always sell consoles.

and...

It's a new and rather large release that has, not only gamecube controller support, but the multi-game feature of Amiibo.

It can all be turned off and maps can be chosen.
