Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Do you think Nintendo should upgrade the Wii U like they did with the 3DS?

I wouldn't mind but the Wii/Wii U brand is so toxic that I think continuing it any longer than they have to is probably a dead end.

They have to support the system until Zelda comes out, after that they're "off the hook" and can wash their hands of it and move on to something (hopefully for their sake) better.

As very few devs have utilised the game pad, they should just release a cheaper one with the pro pad and patch up there first party games to not require it, as most barely require it anyway.

Half the price of that bad boy doing that and watch it fly off the shelves.

That's actually not a bad idea.

It would be like releasing a new system so they would be put in the same position as Sega by the stupidity of the media and the people that lick their asses

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Absolutely not.

No, terrible idea.

Bad idea that wouldn't change a thing

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

you don´t know anything about bussiness, marketing.

So you should think before speaking.

So put out as many 3DS systems as they want, but don't touch the Wii u? ehhh?

Those 'as many as they want' are all playing the same games, except for the new 3DS, which will have some games exclusive to the new 3DS.

For WiiU there are already 2 systems, the white 8GB and black 32GB systems. And i wouldn't mind other options as well, why not a more expensive one with >100GB? Or release one with a modified Gamepad bigger/smaller screen or whatever. I think no one would complain about that, as long as all of them have the same specs to all play the same games!

For the 3DS goes the same, there isn't a 'put out as many 3DS systems as they want' attitude, a lot of people actually complaint about the new 3DS receiving exclusive content. I personally don't really mind that since the 3DS will still be supported and just a few games will make their way to the new 3DS which would not have come to the original 3DS anyway. I would mind if Nintendo decides to produces lots of those exclusive new 3DS content and therefore have less resources to support the original 3DS.

Yes, a smaller, lightweight, and completely optional tablet controller with a better Super-AMOLED screen, much longer durability and mobile Virtual Console offline play without the need to connect a Wii-U would be great.

The tablet is Wii-U's biggest problem, an upgrade is overdue.
