Well if it happens it happens. Take Two has always said they'd be willing to let themselves be bought out. (for the right amount of course )

EA tried to buy them out and it failed.

Mixed feelings about this just like I did when it was rumored EA was buying them....

I wonder why Blizzard felt like they needed to merge with Activision. Blizzard and Activision are pretty seperate...

EA already tried the same thing, not gonna happen.

Ugh, this is even worse than EA buying them...

That's what everyone said about Bungie. Fancy that.

Bungie's demise hasn't commenced yet. If Destiny is the big hit that everyone expects then Activision will milk it.

GTA would end up sucking. And be a small game. Acti would never allow the game to take 5 years to be made.

Blizzard IP's say hello.  If Activison give Rockstar the same leeway as Blizzard it wouldn't be so bad but 2K and it's games and IP will probably be shut or sold to other companies piecemeal.

Activision and Blizzard were pretty much co-equal entities in the merger, and they're still largely autonomous entities within the same corporation, which is why the company has both of their names. The Activision side does not have authority over the Blizzard side, and vice versa. Take-Two is far smaller than either company and would not have the same autonomy.

That was before the buy out of Vivendi how it's all Kotick's Activision.

Bizzard was ownded by Vivendi Universal from 1998-2008 when Vivendi allowed Activision to partially buy/merge with it and then last year Activison finished the buyout.

All together Blizzard was only independant for 3 years before being bought and passed around 6 different owners.

An Activision backed Take-Two could probably wrestle the NFL licsence away from EA; or at least share it with them. They have plenty of money now and cash is king. Other sports games have basically ended and getting sports franchises could help Activision against EA.

I never played a blizard game. So I didn't know they some how were allowed years for things.
