With todays reveal of new models do you think they will boost sales? Also can amiibo extend the life of 3DS?

It will boost the sales when it actually comes out. But they announced it too early. It will drop sales until it does come out.

Pretty much this, at least for the West. They announced it at the right time for Japan, with MH4U and the new Smash coming out soon, so sales there are going to pick up like crazy. It's coming out too late for the West though. Nintendo should have had the Western version(s) ready by the holiday season, not 2015.

I don't think that'll be an issue. That always do this.

I don't think the Wii U can keep up with the XOne until November.

XOne has Destiny and the Madden Bundle, the Wii U has Hyrule Warriors and Bayonetta 2.

I think XOne will have stronger sales until November tbh.

In a couple of months there are going to be four 3DS hardware SKUs being tracked in Media Create. I wonder if Nintendo will discontinue the oldest model soon?
