@ hoodie Might be just one game but it will likely move some systems and bump the baseline sales for a month or better much like Mario Kart has.

I also have about 95 games downloaded and physical copies of 20 more. I like game selection via the gamepad, being able to pop to the home menu and look something up online then go back to the game. I have other systems and the Wii U sees more play time then they do. When it gets more games I'll probably pick up a PS4, but it will be a while before it entices me.

Again, not the point. Nintendo Exclusives alone just don't cut it anymore in the terms of Sales.
I'm pretty sure the game pad isn't in the top 3 reasons why the console isn't doing well. If you ask most people who haven't bought one why they haven't done so, the game pad won't be the reason
3DS: tolu619
Wii U: FoyehBoys
Vita, PS3 and PS4: FoyehBoys
XBoxOne: Tolu619
Switch: Tolu619

If someone likes the gamepad couldn't they complain about the other systems lack of one and expect them to bundle it with say a PS4? That argument works both ways. |
What you are saying is not the same thing and it makes no sense from my perspective. NickK said that if you have an issue with the pad then you can play the games with the Pro Controller or the WiiMote, however, that would require an additional purchase aside from the main purchase of the Wii U. The OP said in his first post that he refuses to give them (Nintendo) more money due to what he percieves is a mistake by Nintendo to make the pad their primary controller, thus, he deems that the controller is an issue for the Wii U to be more successful. A solution would be to be make a SKU with a Pro Controller instead of the pad.
If someone were to like the Pad over the other controllers in the market then obviously he/she should stick to the Wii U since it's the only place where it's at. Neither Sony nor MS have additional controllers for them to put on an SKU beside the DS4 and the Xbox one controller. Nintendo on the other hand, has both the Wii U Pad and the Pro Controller, thus making it possible for giving more choices to the consumer.

Not as hyped but still good Third Party Games not coming to WiiU? The Walking Dead and the Walking dead season 2 are on almost EVERY platform even on Applicable Android and IOS platforms. But absolutely nothing on the WiiU. |
Non Sencical shit I haven't been on this forum for a long time, I may as well reply now.
This generation has proved that third party software can sell hardware, however this is if you consider it to be in principle the same as first party.
Think of it this way you have two choices the wii u (will get nintendo games) or xbone,ps4 (will get third party), maybe this will help.
WU = wiiu, Xb = Ps4 + Xbox One
WU = First Party - Third party, XB = 1/4 First Party + (Third Part - Potential Nintendo First Party)
Due to how this works the conusmer (In Principle) see third party as being (Xbox + Sony's) First party. As they can't get it on Nintendo's platform.
The pad is my favorite part :/
The problem is a lack of games that use the console to its $ trench.
it wont match the wii. But it'll do fine.
in terms of console greatness, I rank it highest than downcast and thats saying a lot coming from me
It really is a pretty terrible controller. The pro one is OK though
