Trolling thread?! All these games can be played by WiiU Pro Controller or WiiMote.

WiiU's weak point is its NAME!

What if you don't wanna spend more?, shouldn't the console come with a controller you like and feel comfortable with?.

if that is the case, why buy the console with a controller you don't like in first place?

you are right, wiiu should not be purchesed by any one not blind in love with nintendo or who seems any of ther failings.  wiiu by admission of its fanbase is a product for a very selct few people.

We know the real reason for its market sales failure, only a small number are williing and capable to forgive all its shortcomings.

All others skip it, best advice iv seem from wiiu owners yet.

I don't like it too much, it just makes my hands sore when playing more intensive games so I just swap out with the Classic Controller whenever I can.

I beg to differ. It's problem is that Nintendo tried to market it as a hardcore console and then almost immediately doubled back to their child friendly image after they realized they didn't stand a chance in hell at having a repeat of the success of the Wii if they kept the hardcore image.

Nah its more like they tried to get both the mainstream hardcore and casual markets. The gamepad had all the standard controls of a PS/Xbox console for the hardcore gamer and a tablet like screen in an attempt to be the next Wii Remote for the casual crowd. Even the launch lineup supports this with Assassin's Creed/Call of Duty and a new FPS zombie game in ZombiU for the mainstream core market and 2D Mario/Nintendo Land, a new mini game compilation for the casual market.

This plan failed because mainstream gamers didnt want to spend $350 for a console with a very small graphical leap, inferior online and ports of games they already had and casual gamers have moved onto smartphones where they can play $1 or even free games on the go. On top of that a confusing name, horrible advertising, long post launch drought and high price for a Nintendo console certainly didnt help.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

I'd probably like the gamepad more if it were smaller. Also, it would of helped if it came with a USB power cord and not the wall socket dock only.

Fix'd.

The amount of rain in my country has increased lately and so have PS4 sales. I'm gonna take those two unrelated things and say one caused the other.

LOL. I found this really funny. The only real thing you can say is fact: The majority doesn't care about Nintendo's hardware as a whole. And their ways of doing things. There's so many factors that caused their problems.

Such a surprising thread.

Nintendo is quite irrelevant in the gaming world. Nintendo is just continuing the trend of being Second best. They come out with the typical Nintendo exclusives that makes Nintendo cater to Nintendo fans.

But yes, the hardware is a lot of the reason why nobody gives 2 craps about Nintendo. They tried really hard to cater to the mainstream but failed terribly at doing so. What annoys me the most is how Nintendo in E3 always boasts how amazing the Third Party support is, well many people these days realize how much BULL that is.

Its the god damn pad.

I played Super mario bros u and hated it, Pikmen was ok but now playing Kart and Zombie U i hate em.  Are all these games bad... Is it the games, nope its the damn weirdo controler its freaking awful.  I can't stand playing with the freaking pad especially after putting in serious time with the DS4.  I cant imagine handing that weird bulky thing over to anyone and them really enjoying playing with it, this thing seriosuly is the one true failure of the wiiu that can easily be rectified and doing so might even benefit the console with a new cheapest sku.

No doubt in my mind people would like the wiiu better and it would sale better if they made a pad less sku.  Even as a companion console to the PS4 or PC this things sales potential is hampred by a single decision that clearly did not pan out by can and should be recified asap.

Ill have to buy a 3rd party add on and hopefully ican use my Ds4 to play U games, casue for now i refuse to buy a ninty controller. Extra 50 from me for this fak up they aint getting.  Seriously they went after hardcore gamers with that pad thing... wtf were they thinking.

How much time have you spent using it?

Really this argument. Can't people just not like the gamepad. For your information I've played with the gamepad for a month. I don't care to use it anymore.

It wasn't an argument, it was a question. Of course you can "not like the gamepad", everyone I have talked to that have seen it then used it has always said it wasn't like they thought it was going to be. That isn't to say that prefer it, but that it's entirely fine. I have very much come to prefer it. When I use a DS it feels unnatural because my hands don't want to be that close together naturally and I find I'm always trying to stretch it if it were possible. The X1 controller feels better, but still not quite as ergonomic as I would like. The gamepad isn't perfect by any stretch, but certainly not bad in my opinion and at first it felt quite alien, but in very little time with it I have grown very comfortable with it. There is something with where the R and L buttons are for my hands, but it's more than acceptable.

You legitimately just sound biased and spoiled, especially when there are other options. I always find it funny that so many people love the DS controllers. They have never been designed very ergonomically. They are getting better and are actually fairly comfortable now, but they really only fit one size of hand and mine are too large. I think it's mostly familarity and what many people have grown up with. To this day my favorite controller is the N64 because at the time, in my teens it fit my hands perfectly, now I find it a little too small.

Get over yourself and get a pro controller, the attachment (if something like that comes out) will likely cost you more anyway and be less compatible.

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

The gamepad is really good for action games, platformers and RPGs that have more uses for a second screen but for games like MK8 and Smash Bros it's fairly useless aside from off TV gameplay.
