I have seen a lot of people complaining about this new model.Well...... yeah its kind of annoying, but a very smart move.

The only bad thing is that some games will only work on that console, leading of with Xenoblade Chronicles. The thing is, games like Xenoblade couldnt have been remade if it wasnt for this model, so u have no right to complain.

I bought my first 3ds in Feb 2012 and then saw the new XL model announcement a few months later :(. The XL was way better and had a bigger screen and was way more comofratble, so I sold my 3ds and god the XL in October/November 2012, 2-3 months after release I think.I thought that was  it and told myself i might skip the next model cuz I expected it to be like the DSi, but the added controls and CPU will make developing sometitles way easier.

I already have Xenoblade Chronicles. Got really excited to play it and decided to get it back in June and play It on my wiiu. Probably going to sell my wii version and get the new 3ds version, when i get the console. CANT WAIT TO PLAY IT ON MY 3DS!

It is also worth noting that the new 3d effect is better and is viewed from all angels i think.

So, are u going to get the new 3ds ? do u think it is a smart move by nintendo ?

I personally will and hope I get my hand on a Xenoblade bundle, which i believe will be released.

If Amiibos get me to the point i need a NFC adapter, than i will get this one.

I also think Nintendo shouldn't release new games exclusive for this SKU, but only Wii/Gamecube remakes.

I have no current plans to purchase it. I'm quite salty over it.

PS4/Xbox one games can't be made for the Wii U. So Wii U owners shouldn't complain.

The exclusive games irk me, but if the 3D effect works at better angles I'll probably buy it.

If I didn't have the limited addition Pikachu model, then I'd buy it and sell my old 3DS. Now, I'll probably just wait for the 3DS successor, which hopefully get's a nicer c-stick.

Good for you, but I don't think I will buy this new 3DS just for a Xenoblade remaster..

Of course Im buying, its a huge improvement over my current 3DS XL. It makes the 3D worth using for the 1st time ever from what Ive seen and it will make MH4U much better to play too which is a huge plus for me. I never finished XBC so I will totally be buying it again too.

I've had an original 3DS since launch, so if the New model is priced decently, I might buy an XL.

I'd really have liked Nintendo to use this opportunity to bring the New 3DS's emulation in line with Wii U, so I could have cross-platform Virtual Console support. That'd make me more likely to buy. I'd be even more likely to buy if I could bring over my Wii VC library, but it seems like Nintendo are not going to bother with that.
