Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

Rofl at the phrase below all the boxes "The brawl to end them all".. is it me and my lotr fetish or was that a parody of "one ring to rule them all"?

Nope, I get the feeling too. Next thing you know...

Mario: It's a pity Snake didn't kill him when he had the chance.
Pit: Pity? It was pity that stayed Snake's hand. Many that recover deserve to fall. Some that fall deserve the edge. Can you give it to them, Mario? Do not be too eager to deal out KOs. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Bowser has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Snake may rule the fate of many.

Or even worse...

Zelda: The stage is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it. It began with the creation of the Super Smash Bros. One was given to the N64, strongest, immortal, fairest of all beings. Another was given to the GC, who above all desired power. But they were deceived, for another Smash Bros was made. In the land of Japan, in the fires of Nintendo HQ, the Dark Lord Sakuri forged in secret a master Smash Bros, to control all others. And into this final Smash he poured his cruelty, his malice and his will to dominate all life. One Brawl to rule end them all.

Or maybe I'm just completely crazy. Back to reading The Silmarillion.

Edit: Wow I'm gonna have to go watch those movies now. Thanks a lot.

Best to call first and save yourself the disappointment. Besides, you could call the ones in your area. Maybe you'll get one that doesn't know about the street date and will sell it to you. :)

Nah, best to walk in without calling ahead, find an unsuspecting, hopefully stupid-looking employee, and tell him you'd like to buy SSBB. Who knows, he might go to the back and get a copy for you! Perhaps you could convince the guy that Brawl's release date has changed...that'd rock.

If I believed that any such luck would shine on me, I certainly would.

My plan was to get a stupid-sounding employee on the phone to tell me "Yes, come on down and pick up a copy". Then if that stupid employee wasn't there to ring me up, and a knowledgable employee gave me the "street date" line, I could call a manager to rectify the situation. I'd put on my Bambi-eyes and say "You mean to tell me I drove 30 minutes out here for nothing, just because your employee doesn't know his job??"

"I feel like I could take on the whole Empire myself."

omg -_-; Thats so gay why can't they just sell them already! :@

Contracts. Nintendo doesn't want to favor one distributer over another, and all stores want equal opportunity to compete for customers. There is no way to guarantee all stores get full shipments on the same day, so there is a contractual agreement that no store can sell prior to the release date, so that all stores have a fair shot at the customers. Any store that breaks the street date gets an edge on the competition, and if allowed to get away with it, will harm relations between Nintendo and other retailers. As a result, Nintendo, like many other companies, will jealously guard its release date and may sue any store that breaks this agreement.

Wow dude, that was epic.  Your WIN meter is at full capacity.

Im a huge fan of Brawl. But a lot of you are saying 2 million first day!? I highly doubt we will see 2 million first WEEK. Brawl is a huge game, but not THAT huge. You people that think the game will get a 20% attach ratio the first day are crazy. I'll say 1.6-1.8 million first week.
