I hope new 3ds will stop back compatibility with DS games!

Switch!!!

It begins...

If it includes stuff like F Zero GX or Starfox or Zelda ports...........I'm in.

:O

Mario Galaxy 3 for New 3DS in 2015 holiday?! :O. What? could happen :P

Complete dick move. This is worse than what Microsoft was trying to do with the X1. People should not blindly support this.

Why do you hope it will stop?

Isn't it obvious why you would want a new system to not be compatible with a library as well formed as that of the original DS? I mean, you wouldn't want a system to launch with access to an extra 1000 or so games, that could get distracting during the draught at the beginning while you wait for launch games to pour out.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

I don't mind since I will be buying the new model. though I would be pissed off if I weren't

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Until Nintendo can do small things like link my purchases to an account I'm in no hurry to be a early hardware adopter.

,
Especially when the model list for the 3ds is insane. I enjoy my 3ds XL but they are milking it too hard.

Wow so now its assured that all the 45 million people who supported their consoles, would have to buy it AGAIN to play their best games. That too after just 3 years.

If would have respected the move more if they wouldve come with a new console, with proper tech upgrades instead of this half assed non sense.

This does not bode well for the Wii U at all

Oh my, a hardware revision that happens to actually be a brand new hardware, but it's still the same generation of handheld (?) a mere 3 years later.

Nintendo, revolutionary as always.

Well, if i had to buy a NFC adapter for smash, i might as well pay $180 on a bigger console, with an additional stick, more battery and better 3D
