god... its pretty simple

Why is it simple?

the energy or impetus to cause the big bang had to come from somewhere you would agree?

and we call generally god the entity which created the universe

therefore by correlation the big bang came from god

simple

edit: but of course this is assuming that the big bang actually happened, which obviously we don't know for certain

Isnt the bigbang just an expanse of matter? Seems reasonable as atoms are just 99% wasted space caused by the repulsion of electrons. I believe if you removed all that wasted space earth woukd fit into a tea cup. Black holes, from my understanding is just a mass of gravity, it can be caused by collapsing stars and what not. And time can also be affected by gravity to the point it flows slower in in places of extreme gravity.

This is not my field though, i study biochemistry. Physics is so vast and complex, i think this kind of topic needs higher forms of education to really get into it. People dont need 6+ years of research and learning to become a physicist for no reason.

It is also the reason atheists tend to be very well educated because the more you learn the less you can attribute to God(s).

Not everyone thinks that. Some people call it God, others don't call it by any name.

So no, it isn't simple.

fair enough but the same could apply to just about everything

spanish people call eyes "ojos"

but we still call them eyes because that is the name we've attributed to them but regardless the fact still remains that we are still ultimately talking about the same thing

so again its still pretty simple

cause and effect

The scientific evidence for the big bang is overwhelming. The cause of it is unknown, science doesn't claim to know the origins of the big bang all we know is that it happened. Now you can stick God in there if you like and say he started it but there is no way of getting around that all of our evidence (Microwave background radiation, red shift, galaxies receding from each other) indicates that there was an initial expansion at the beginning of the universe (Horribly dubbed the big bang) That is all.

Incase that is too difficult think of the big bang as a piece of rock you find on the ground. We know the rock exists, just was we're pretty damn sure the big bang happened. Just because you cannot tell me exactly where the rock came from or its entire history doesn't mean I can turn around and say that that rock does not exist.

Now it is the job of religious people to prove that an intelligent entity started the big bang in order to be taken seriously by any logical reasoning.

So where did black holes come from or singularities? What was before the big bang? What made whatever it is that made the big bang? Where did the thing that made the big bang come from? What made the thing that made the thing that made the big bang? Are black holes slowly swallowing up the universe again until everything is sucked up again and they get so full that they expode a new universe out in another billion years? If so then how long till Humans evolve out of Big Bang matter again? Will we look the same or will something else emerge?

Does this all depend on luck and chance and science, so we could not possibly know when we would evolve into humans again after the second big bang? How do we know this is not the first big bang? How many big bangs have there been? What started the original Big Bang? What made the thing that started the original big bang? Is a big bang just another reality exploding into a new reality? Is the old reality/alternate dimension still there? Who made that alternate dimension? Seems like time and space is so full that we could all explode at any minute.

Fuck it! I will just continue to believe in God. You got to have more faith to believe in Galaxies banging than My Homie G making it all.

Go back to 5000 B.C. and ask the Greeks where lightning came from and they'd tell you it was a god. Of course we know now that it wasn't, but that's what they thought. You my friend are in the same boat right now.

What caused the big bang? Who knows, but to simply claim it was god because we don't have a definitive answer is as foolish as claiming it was a giant Barnie the dinasaur clapping his hands together. They are both simply unsupported theories one and the same.

Most Atheists i've spoken to dropped the smartass attitude after that question. Not to mention that they can't seem to answer the question of how an existence without consciousness can create an existence with consciousness.

What made God?

And what made what made God?

And what made that?

I assume most Atheists shut up because it is a stupid set of questions and the answer would be lost on the people asking.

what caused the universe was an entity that exists without an initial cause or what some people call god

Don't change the definition of words so that it's impossible for you to be wrong. It's a major cop out. You believe an entity created the universe, that is all. Do not create a fallacy for yourself where you make yourself correct by using made up definitions.

And before that?

that means that nothing happened prior, that there was no start and will be no end
