It doesnt help that we havent had an official update from PD since March 2013...

They didn't reach 80 million yet.

So you have certain GT4 + GT5 + GT6 + GT:PSP + GT5:P didn't shipped combined more than 9.98m units yet... these are the games yet shipping in the last report.

They dont update for every 10 Million milestone, do they?

GT5 and GT PSP will be above 11 Million and 5 Million by now, respectively. I wonder if we will see GT Vita before we see GT7. What do you think?

Why would two accounts on the same hw download the patch/dlc? It Works for all acc there. And for a year old game to think the owner downloaded the dlc then lend the game for someone that also done that and all of that within weeks... I can't imagine that being a big percentage.

The game isn't even 9 month old yet but if you borrow it from somebody you have to download the patch unless your system is completely offline.

Anyway as I said for your claim to be correct (since it isn't counting someone who played in march and someone now... It's counting the downloads of this specific DLC) what are the odds of someone playing the game now (for him to need to update) loan the game for someone else and this person also downloading the DLC all in some weeks? Quite certain it aint more than 20% and is greatly offset by the people that have the game and didn't update (I also didn't, with this are 4 people that finished the game long ago and didn't update). So yes 3,5M is quite the lowside of the possibilities.

They updated in every milestone if I remember: 50, 60 and 70 at least.

But there are times they have more than 1 year without updates... it is really not constants... most updates have 9-12 months difference and so they start from nothing doing 3 months updates... weird because the 3 months updates happened in some cases in periods any big GT release.

Here you can see all the updates: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=125037

Said that I expected a update in March 2014... well I still hope they do one in September.

PS. I don't have data before 2005.

Haha, I was just looking for that thread. Didnt know it was yours.

In reality then we could/ should be expecting an update any time between now and the end of the Year. Such a long wait.

Whilst we're talking about GT and undertracking? Can i please just point out the farce that are the GT5 numbers? For a start they had them right in the first place (untill a month or so ago) with sale at 10.8m (the last number i remember having checked earlier in the year, like march) But for some reason they decided it was a good idea to adjust down by ~450k units, for no reason whatsoever, despite having shipment figures of ~10.7m from March 2013 for the game couples with shipment splits provided by PD showing Europe at almost 7million, whilst we have 4.7m..... I mean for crying out loud one of the few games we do get hard sales data for and it's dreadful.

Oh and GT5:p and GT:PSP are still both undertacked buy a million units each....

VGC is terrible with software tracking... it is only more perceptive with GT numbers because PD historically publish the numbers (break for reagion) in their site from time to time... so it is not like others companies that works with PR numbers without date or break per region.

That is why you see they undertracking GT games but not others... it is due the lack of information for others games.

ETHOMAZ IS BACK!! Great news.

That might be related to the XOne sales being adjusted down by more than 400k with no aparent reason. Keep the good work guys, a few more weeks and we will have 2mi overshiped XOnes in the wild.

On Topic...

I don´t recall VGChartz ever being close to accurated when talking about software sales. And lets not forget about Digital Downloads, multiple accounts and second hand sales.

That would mean Sony supporting the Vita, so yea, not going to happen.

It is more like they will ship for Tie 2 launch.

Xbone didn't reach 6 million shipped yet in the last report... they shipped less than 5.7m (dure 360 reaching 84m shipped)... so best case scenario they shipped 5.7m.

So I will use 5.7m as of June 30... that means ~1m on shelves using VGC numbers.

Now you will have Destiny and Tie 2 launch... so think like MS ship more 1 million units... that means 6.7m shipped... VGC needs to show more 700k units sold WW with Destiny and Tier 2 launch in September to maintain the same 1 million units on shelves but you know the Tier 2 launch can increase the units on shelves and be fine.

So you can have these situations.

7 million shipped with either 5.7 or 6.0 million sold.
6.5 million shipped with either 5.5 or 6.0 million sold.
7.5 million shipped with 6.0 or 6.2 million sold.

All the betweens works fine... so you won't see 2 million in shelves... sorry to disapont you.

MS will ship 900k to 1.2m units increasing the shipments to 6.5-7.0 million while VGC is showing the sales compatible with these shipments.

Xbone is really selling that bad... it won't surprise me if the shipment last quarter was arround 5.5m with most of it being 360.

BTW. My prediction about 900k per 5-week months for PS4 continue flawless... month after month.
