Forums - Sales Discussion - Gran Turismo 6 Undertracked? 2.5 Million Active Users

I think it's undertracked in Europe

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

Never understimate the true king.

Don't think its undertracked by much the difference is probably mostly digital copies.

Think about it though.

What % of people actually download DLC for a game? Even if it's free. I'd bet that no more than 50% of people even mess with DLC at all in any form.

Then take into account that the game is not that new anymore. Most games drop users pretty steadily, so for 2.5M people to download DLC this late in the game's lifespan is .. interesting, when the VG numbers show less than that.

So I'd guess maybe 3.5M retail, 1M Digital out there?

VGC has shown to be pretty bad at tracking Europe, so it really wouldn't surprise me at all. Just look at all the corrections this gen with PS4/XB1/U, the numbers have regularly bounced all over the place.

But this DLC is different though since its included in the update and not a seperate DLC.  Just like everyone that owns Forza 5 downloaded most the DLC for it if they still use it since almost all the DLC is included in the updates the only thing you need to dowload seperately for that game are the free cars.

Ah, maybe so. Not everyone is online though. I only connected mybps3 to get the destiny beta lol. No interest in having an online ps3.

Well how much of the people who bought the game keep playing almost a year after.

Well if you believe the article then its about 2.5 million.

Does that warrant something? Correct me if im wrong but cant 2.5mil users use multiple accounts on 1 copy of GT6?

That said, i think it is undertrack by a good million, game seems extremely low in sales for a GT game

You would have to have 2 consoles not accounts.

PlayStation Vita Japanese Software Sales (Media Create Physical/ Famitsu Digital)

I honestly haven't played it since April. I need to get a wheel stand, plus I just got tired of sim racers (GT6, Assetto Corsa, RaceRoom, etc.). I'm glad it's still doing well though, even if it's not doing as well as it should.
