Not really, Xbox can just ride Destiny in September (not the only game coming out that month (Fifa and Forza), then October will have a bunch of games, (Ass Creed, Sunset Overdrive, Shadow of mordor and others along with the holiday boost) then november will have Halo MCC and even more holiday boost and of course December will provide even more console sales. 

Then if the sales drop dramatically in like March they should do a price drop. 

I assume you're talking about PS4? Then my response is what month hasn't been a good month for it?

It was obvious to me because of TLOU (released at the END on July), Plants V Zombies, Infamous: First Light, Diablo 3 and of course the build up to September. September is going to be an 'incredible month'.

I don't know if Destiny will move X1s. I have the strong suspicion that most of the games you listed will sell well to owners of X1s, but people buying a console to play those (outside of exclusives) will choose a PS4.

September will tell us a lot. I'm thinking it will be 2 to 1 at minimum, and more likely 3:1+. 650k PS4 vs. 175k X1.

That's what I'm thinking too. I don't see why it'd move X1s in any large amount. It'll sell to current owners, but it won't be moving X1 consoles, especially with it being marketed as a PS4 title. I'm sure VGC will give the X1 a large boost for the week though.

In all seriousness, I wonder if they are starting to take into account the old systems of prediction are just not working in 2014.

Yeah, those numbers are not good for XBO, they better hope that destiny would somehow pick up XBO sales because most people buying destiny are probably going to get the PS4 bundles. At least they have sunset overdrive and advanced warfare bundles but it would be very disappointing if with all that they dont manage to stay at least above the 100k sales mark. Then again, the console is rolling out in other countries next month so maybe sales would be better from then on

Lol, yeah I can agree with that I expect PS4 to sell 1-1.3 million consoles at least in September.
