NIntendo had assumptions that mass of Wii adopters would buy WiiU. Turned out not true, as it is really only old Nintendo gamers attracted to HD versions of some past favorite Nintendo games that continue to sell WiiU.
Microsoft had assumptions that mass of X360 and Kinect adopters would buy XBO. Turned out not true, but industry doesn't believe XBO is "dead" because the 3rd parties haven't abandoned it yet.
Sony managed to repair a lot of wrongs of the PS3. They are enjoying the success of being the best overall next-gen machine for 3rd party games. To the point where they are succeeding even while they have currently weakest 1st party offerings of the 3 (Nintendo having strongest quantity and quality per Meta Critic ratings).
But who is buying PS4 is what is most interesting. I am just amazed how many X360 owners readily moved to PS4.

i doubt it only people that would buy the bundle with madden are people who were getting a X1 anyhow and getting madden, ill be shocked if it sells more then lets say 40k in the US for the week madden comes out.

it being free with a bundle will move some a decent little amount,the bundle being high up on best sellers proves that.I doubt ppl were waiting to jump into next gen ONLY when madden came out,(theres already a madden25 on it),but when your giving it away for free with a bundle,its gonna entice a few..sales will probably be 65,000 total xones that week ww instead of the usual 50 thousand(ish)..again,small boost..... games dont need to be exclusive or next gen only to move consoles .... look at watch dogs for example,ps4 numbers got a sizable boost compared to the week before numbers,this always happens with big multiplat games,sales go up

I would be surprised if It didn't move any. If you were a madden fan you would probably want the next gen version of the game, I would expect at least a few K increase in the hardware sales.
So sales for august 23rd updated..
Xbox One and Wii U are neck and neck. Still no major X1 releases but its matching the Wii U. People still think the Wii U will hold onto this lead? Crazy.

No major releases for Wii U either. Its winning every week since May except one I believe. So yeah we think that because of those facts.
