What other program activites? That doesn't sound like research to me.

It's worth noting that ALS is the name of the disease.

I'm just curious as to what "other" could be. They've got research, fund development, and administration. What else is there that any disease-based charity does?

Or do they also help bankroll care for patients suffering ALS? That could certainly account for it.

I was thinking the same thing.  At least I hope so anyway...
