wii U and HW bad! so sad!

Switch!!!

Damn performance for Bullet Girls, and it's sold out! How do we come to that knowing BG never showed up in COMG!?

... wait. If BG sells 30K with max 10-15 COMG pts, how will 71 pts translate in sales for Neptune U next week!!!!??

Not bad for TLOUR and Diablo, Freedom and SAO still beastin' :)

Senran Kagura 2 now needs more than half a year to match Shinobi Versus FW sales at current pace. I hope Marvelous got the message, it can't be clearer than that.

Remember the PS3 days when 25k a week was terrible?

Not really, the PS3 only did a decent amount over 25k once during the post Obon week.  That was the week the MHP3 port came out.

It doesn't matter how often it went above 25k. 25k was considered to be failing sales-wise and that was an awful start by our standards.

Tells you a lot about the state of the industry in Japan.

I'm not comparing the PS3 to itself, but our current expectations to the old ones.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

You're so good at this I don't even need to edit it. Nice job!

Some pretty meh sales here.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Interesting that Diablo III Reaper of Souls Ultimate Evil Edition PS4 version sold pretty much just as much as in UK.

I thought ps3 was suddenly dead for a second.
Sharp drops everywhere though.

And thank's Kres for the Famitsu digital numbers, if we do some maths: P4G sold 12.659 in July (which is abysmal when the TV show is airing)

TLoU, Diablo and Bullet Girls all with 30k openings. Would have to say they all have had successful launches then.
Hyrule Warriors drop was as expected, which isnt a good thing at all. Not even at 20k this week, will be lucky to hit 150k.
YAY for 5pb. Dont really think they expected anything more than this.
Senran Kagura is dead. I dont think anyone at Marvelous saw this coming, not even as a worst possible situation.
SAO and Freedom Wars nicely holding on to the bottom of the charts still above 2k. Thinking FW will slowly climb past 300k before its eventual sequel.
And 3DS software legs never change. Nintendo are the king of legs, that cant be argued.

And wiiu got an even bigger drop then last year. Expect more 2k weeks this year because it's currently on an almost identical sales path as last year. One would have thought that kart would have kept it from going back down that horrible sales road but unfortunetely, that doesn't seem to be the case.

What? MK8 might not of pushed 30k-40k+ like we wanted on release and do amazing but to say this? ^^^

MK8 kept it from doing much worse (close to that of 2k-4k like last year) and the games been out for just about 3 months now. Holing a 7k-9k is definitely much better than under 5k. (of course im  not  saying its doing well, just pointing out that MK8 has been maintaining a better baseline and its 3 months from 1 game.)

COMG has shown time and time again (apart from Re;birth 1) that there is a disproportionate amount of Neptunia fans compared to the rest of Japan.  Hyper Goddess Noire had 70 points and yet had a ratio of 1: 393, with the game selling pretty much on par with all the other Neptunia Vita games (27-30k FW).

I really wouldn't expect too much from Neptunia U.  It might perform a bit better than the others ( > 30k) but I wouldn't expect much more than that.  Ratio will be bad.

Hold on, are you really trying to tell me that 12k in 1 month is abysmal for a 2012 remake of a 2008 game in 2014?? All because of a remake of a 2011 anime is currently being aired
How many games released in 2012 sold 12k in Japan alone last month?? If anything, its signs of a success.
