Arcades are the MAIN platform for fighting games in japan. They are much bigger on arcades and all important gaming activity in japan is done on arcade. It makes sence, Arcades are still a big deal in Japan. I lost count of how many SEGA arcades I saw in Tokyo and they were nearly all pretty occupied.

Didnt know that. It's nice learning about cultural differences in countries.

 

Though that means a console release will definitely need to be worldwide to sell well.
