Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Well duh, Pokken Tournament is on Arcades first

I agree. They're just using the arcades to drum up hype then release the complete game with more pokemon and different modes on consoles. Didn't they do the same for Tekken?

Pretty much every Tekken game, I beleive.

It will be on Wii U, Nintendo can't afford to turn away any content at this point.

Even if they release every game they have planned for next year (roughly 1 game per month after January), they still are looking at maybe only 20 games total for the Wii U for the entire year.

That's horrible for any system.

Fatal Frame V will come out in the West for the same reason.

Every game that they have revealed. They very likely have games for next year that will be announced next year. Bayonetta 1, Captain Toad and Fatal Frame got annoynced this year. And Dillon's Rolling Western U which comes out this year (I think)

You're also forgetting indie ga,es. Whether big budget or not, there's still a number of those coming out. Like Mighty No 9, Hover: Revolt of Gamers, Project CARS, etc.

I have a feeling thier aiming for a 2015 holiday release. Pokemon and Holidays go together like Pokemon and Holidays.

Not if it's an Arcade game. I'd say early summer to late spring like Mario Kart 8. That may give them time to get it out world wide by Holiday 2015 if they manage it well enough.

That's what I meant, a holiday console release.

Where the hell did you hear that?

I had always hoped Namco would port the Mario Kart arcade game to GC, but they never did. Shame too, it was far better (IMO) than Double Dash......

Well, it's exciting for a few reasons. This will be Nintendo's first big attempt into traditional fighting games. With the arcade release, they'll have a while to playtest and make changes off of player feedback. Only real downside is that the console version is AT LEAST 6-8 months away.

Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
