Only recently we heard the rumour that Nintendo has a big remaster planned for 2015; 'You’re gonna love it, but it’s a Remaster. It’s perfect to fill gaps in the line-up. Really, Big N [Nintendo] will have one game per month in 2015', and while it is safe to assume it will be Majoras Mask (with all the hints over the last year and a bit) I really think the remaster planned will be...

Xenoblade!

Of course here is my reasoning.

1-Fast to make

Xenoblade on Wii wasnt graphically outstanding and some would say it looked like a Gamecube game. Well that just means like Wind Waker it could easily undergo the HD treatment within the same timeframe it took to make Wind Waker HD... maybe.

2-People want it

It is no surpise a copy of Xenoblade on Wii is hard to find and expensive, so what better way to appease the masses by releasing a shiny new HD version? (And to screw Gamestop over for selling 'second hand' copies).

3-Shulk MAY be in Smash Bros (potential Smash Bros spoiler if you havnt been keeping up with them)

Since Shulk is most likely going to be in the new Smash Bros it will mean more people will wonder where he is from. Much like Marth and Roy in Melee, having Shulk in the game could spark a greater interest in the series.

4-Xenoblade Chronicles Wii U keeps getting delayed...

Yeah... not happy about this, but releasing a remaster would tide over the rabbid fans. Especially since many say Xenoblade Chronicles Wii U will release late next year. Also, a remaster would encourage the most sales for the new game.

....or I am just over thinking things and its Metroid Prime HD collection since Retro has been really quiet lately....

So, am I crazy? Or does some of my theories make a little sense?

Xenoblade would be a horrible remake..... any Wii game would be as you can already play the original on your Wii U.

include both xenoblade and X on the same disk, and I will be the happiest person!

Nope. Too much content to turn to HD.

It's more likely an N64 or GC forgotten by time.

Eternal Darkness or Rogue Squadron (to coincide with the new film) make the most sense....

I agree because the original still goes for horrible prices and Nintendo isnt benefitting from it. The demand is definitly there.

Even though i played the game just months ago, i would probably rebuy it in HD and this time aim to get everything done. And i would sell the old version. lol

That or Metroid Prime is my guess. Because there was a huge wave of fans asking for it last and this year.

I could see it being Mario Galaxy HD 1 + 2 or maybe even a full blown Mario 3D All-Stars (with Sunshine and 64 in as well).

If Zelda U suffers a delay then something like that could at least sorta fill in, my guess is in that scenario, Splatoon would also be moved into the fall.

Perhaps Xenoblade HD (literally just the Wii game but running in 1080p, no other changes) could happen as a bonus disk with Xenoblade X, but I don't think Nintendo will make a big deal about that, much like Bayo 1 being thrown into Bayo 2 as basically like a bonus. 

"Remaster" implies something more like Wind Waker HD. 

After looking in 14 game stops/best buys in my travel for San Francisco and LA, i finally found a pre-owned Xenoblade for $50.

Totally worth it.

It would be a great move to put the original game with the new Xenoblade, but not to remaster it. Just put the game to be played with the Wii mode.

The remaster needs to be a Game Cube game. Baiten Kaitos using the GamePad for the cards could be a good idea.

Yeah that was the main drawback I could think of. Could take too much time to do.

Mario Galaxy HD collection is a safe bet too. But if so it would feel like Nintendo have saturated the Wii U market with Mario platformers lately.

I still wish the Mario Anniversary game on Wii included more than just the 3 NES games, but it is another possibilty.

 If X does really well -- I could see them doing it later though.
