Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Operation Platinum Is Aiming To Get Bayonetta 2 To Sell One Million Copies On Wii U

Would be nice, but it's never going to happen. The online "gaming community" just isn't that big anyway ... NeoGaf is like the biggest gaming site and that has like 120,000 registered users, probably only 70,000 who are active on the gaming side of the forum regularly.

Of that 70,000, maybe you could convince 5000-8000 to buy this game where they otherwise wouldn't ... but that's still a drop in the bucket.

those Game chaser dudes should lay off the steroids  as soon as possible, that stuff gives cancer in the worst places...

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

What was that?

A fan movement to get three games localized to the states:

The Last Story

Xenoblade Chronicles

Pandora's Tower

They release very late into the Wii's lifetime and were limited to only Japan for a long, long time. There was a huge fan movement that wanted them localized, particularly Xenoblade. They eventually were, though no one is for certain if it had anything to do with the actual campaign. Xenoblade Chronicles sold out in like a day... the other two did decently with The Last Story pulling in decent numbers in the states, and Pandora's being the lowest.

Oddly, I would probably consider Pandora's Tower to be the best of the three as it was a very tightly made game with very good boss design. It played like a Dark Souls/Metroidvania/Dating Sim amalgamation.

hmm.. I don't know what to think about this one. It could flop but at the same time, it could do very well especially since it comes with Bayonetta 1 for free with the Nintendo cosplay in the game. So. it is hard to say though, especially considering how the first one didn't overly sell that amazing either. it sold great, but not something that would be seen at stellar.

For what I have seen, three decent games. They did not sell that great though...

It would be hard for them to sell "that great" when they had limited supply.

You'd be hard pressed to find an unsold copy of Xenoblade.

It would be hard for them to sell "that great" when they had limited supply and two of the three sold out/near sold out the entire stock.

You'd be hard pressed to find an unsold copy of Xenoblade or The Last Story.

True, I remember Gamestop had some of those in stock for 90-100 dollars at some point.

You've got to be kidding me.

Hey Spurge, just a question, do you know who this "MOFO" is?

Did a quick edit as Last Story is actually still largely in stock, and Pandora never went anywhere near out of stock.

XSEED did well with Last Story's sales stateside, I think its their highest sold game ever.
