Nishikori deserves it more than anyone.

Beat the 5th seed, 3rd seed and 1st seed to reach the final.

Indeed; with Wawrinka winning in the Australian Open as well. 

Great match by both Cilic and Nishikori. Gonna be a very neutral fan during that match; but it would be nice to see Nishikori win. As you said he's already beaten three of the top five seeds (including the top seed).
