Did you like any of the shows? 

No, but i have seen a good chunk of them as a lot of my family are trekkies and it was on the tv a lot growing up...

I am sorry if my tastes arent niche enough for you.  I will try to distance myself further from mainstream interests!

Eh, I dont know about that.  Thinking back I actually think I tried to get into it when I was little because my dad liked it so it must be good.  When I got older and developed my own tastes, I just realized that I really didnt like it at all.

When I was a kid I watched Star Trek TNG. I Love it.

I have seen chuncks of all of them, as I said.  When I was trying to like it was next generation.  I decided that I didnt like it right when all the spin off were starting out.  So before next generation ended, but while deep space 9 and voyager were starting out...

maybe that was the problem its all over the place ..in this case to be more specific in your head

Well, there are a lot of dumb characters.  Diana troy, riker, dr crusher, etc.  deep space nine, enterprise, and voyager had even dumber characters.  This is probably my biggest problem.  I just hated most of the characters, they annoyed me.  Their dialogue was cringe worthy at times.  A lot of them just felt robotic or devoid of personality.  If you dont buy into the characters you are watching and the actors playing them, you arent going to enjoy the show.  This is why jj abrams star trek movies are so much better.  Even spock feels like he has a real personality and the dialogue and characters just click.  

A lot of the stories were very predictable or just plain bad too.  Everytime they did a holodeck episode you just knew it was going to be dumb. I didnt like the week to week approach either.  They werent too bad when they had a focused overarching storyline like the war in the last season of deep space nine, but these shows usually went for the filler episode type.
