Forums - Gaming Discussion - Hackers.....whats their problem with gamers

So yeah as the title says, at the end of it all there just annoying other gamers and what do they actually want, because a year down the line when this has been fixed and forgotten, if someone mentions their groups name the first thing I will think of is "the dicks who stopped me playing on games" rather than anything else (if there trying to make a name for themselves that is)  I just don't understand why they do it, can someone explain what their goal is, who are they fighting for?

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

They are bored and they want something to do so they do it

But, what it seems to me is that, if we presume that Lizard Squad are idiots and they are taking credit for what another hacker called FamedGod has been doing and if what he is saying is true, then the point he is trying to make is that the Security Measures that Sony took after the hack of 2011 was minimal and he hacked PSN to prove his point. It still sucks but I can kinda understand where he is coming from if this is an issue (if its true that is)

no famed god is a fake trying to take credit for it,   according to gaf atleast.   some of his ip's that he listed turned out to be businesses, and there are videos about him from before all this, about him being a COD kid who pretends to hack people and uses simple internet services that you pay for, to track down people.

but then again who knows..  either way the FBI is involved now

Thats all well and good, but a simple mail to sony saying "hey, I can hack into your PSN cause the security measures you took wasn't good enough" and he shows them how, would just as easily prove the point without being such a nuisance to millions of people.

This hacker mentality is by far some of the most selfish self serving acts of wasted brilliance we have in the modern world. Or the fools talking about bring *insert major corporation name here* down, such hypocritical bullshit, just watch their tone change the second they are offered a job.

The biggest fools to me and the idiots that actually support the nonsense these hackers do. Don't even have words for them.

Hackers are the biggest egomaniacs in the world. The bigger the spectacle the better.

That guy is a notorious fake. :P

Furthermore, the security measures Sony put in place after 2011 are absolutely cutting edge.

What is happening today is not a hack at all, and calling these kids "hackers" is really an abuse of the term. It's just a DDOS attack, which is something an organised group can do to simulate incredible traffic in order to take down any service. The same people took down Blizzard and a bunch of Twitch streamers yesterday.

And they made a bomb threat to the SOE president's plane.
