Originality: The winning formula that was discovered and enhanced in Arkham Asylum and City is found here but in a more repetitive and less rewarding way. The overall game is still amazing compared to most games, but the sense of achievement has been reduced in ways that I find it hard to describe (if you play the game maybe you’ll understand). They really didn’t introduce anything new to this franchise with this game (nothing MAJOR) so overall this isn’t as unique of an experience as it’s predecessor’s were.

Graphics: Fantastic!

10/10

Art Style: The art style is the same, as is the setting. In fact, pretty much everything looks the same as City except they took out the cool visuals of catwoman scanner mode (or whatever it was called). Still I do love this art style for Batman, but it feels overall worse than City.

Story: The story of City was perfection in a video game in my opinion. I felt so emotional going through it, seeing the end, and seeing the impact of the end of the game in the DLC afterword’s. This game doesn’t have that emotional aspect to it. The story in many ways feels episodic and not interconnected. By FAR the best moments are with Batman and the Joker interacting and seeing the impact that the other play’s in each other’s lives, but those moments are few and far between. Most of the villains in this game feel soulless. Still, this game’s story beats the living snot out of most games by a long shot.

Game Interface: Annoying or not? I miss the Wii U gamepad cleaning up the main screen for me on this one (since this one I played on PC) but overall still really good interface.

5/5

Controls easy and fluid or difficult and rigid? I was a little disappointed in the limitation of counters in this game and being forced to use certain things like down clicking on the center scroller on the mouse were quite annoying at times.

3/5

Is it fun? For the most part it is a fun game but quite repetitive at points.  10/15

I played City and loved it so I wanted to start from the beginning so got Origins Asylum but played Origins first. I love chronilogical order. Once I beat Asy. I will probably beat City again in anticipation for Knight.
