I just finished a marathon of season 2. Going to start season 3 soon, is it better than season 2 since I didn't really enjoy it as much as it was so spirit based.

PS: Do not list any spoilers in your reples.

Season 3 is my favorite of the Korra series.  I didn't care for Season 2 much. Korra was really unlikable. Season 3 is very good....I'll just leave it at that.

Season 2's bigger problem was the insane amount of escalation and Unalaq's descent into a cliched apocalyptic villain. He had a real thing going with that "spritual vs material" thing, but then was all "nah, i just want to become evil avatar and usher in 10,000 years of darkness"

But after seeing season 3, and knowing the goal of the red lotus, of which unalaq was a member, doesnt his end game make sense?  At least in terms of what the red lotus wants for the world.  They want to return the world to balance, to the natural order, which they interpret as disorder.  What better way of accomplishing that then merging with vato...

Yes but the Red Lotus wanted a world with no avatar. Unalaq was just trading a Light Avatar for a Dark Avatar.

No, the Red Lotus wanted a world free government.  It wanted the world to revert back to its natural order of disorder.  Basically, the Red Lotus just wanted the world to be in chaos.  Destroying the avatar was an important part of that process, but was not their end goal...

Unalaq sought to become the dark avatar so that he could be in control of the world and bring chaos to it.  It is basically just a slightly more warped version of the world that zaheer sought is all...

I feel like they kind of glossed over the fact that Zaheer kind of had a point with the whole "leaders abuse their power" thing, and we never really got any resolution in Ba Sing Se.

But other than that, this has definitely been the best season of Korra so far. Mako had a personality, Bolin wasn't a complete joke, Korra wasn't useless, Asami wasn't background decoration, and we got to see adult Zuko.

Unalaaq was a brilliant villain in Book 2, and the Wan prequel was excellent, but otherwise that was pretty weak, and I'm glad the series is back on its feet.

I'm really curious to see what the title for Book 4 will be and how Korra will regain herself. I mean, holy crap, the look on the face at the end was not that of the Korra we all know. I'm curious to see how she copes with her weakened state and rehabilitates back into shape, if she even can...

Book 4: Balance is coming on Oct. 3rd. Korra's body is not ready and neither is yours.

nickelodeon is so stupid.  They are handeling Korra, which is a freaking gold mind if done properly, like some kind of poison that needs to be purged.

Still, I'm super excited to see the rest of Korra sooner rather than later, it just sucks that it won't get the audience it deserves because of nickelodeons ineptitude...
